[#mozwww] - Article redesign ideas

  1. Here's a summary and update of the article redesign session that took place in Whistler.

    What were the goals?

Get suggestions for how to improve the article page and how to communicate and gather feedback from the community about these changes.

    What has been discussed?

Talk about specific changes in the proposed prototype. We also talked about what the objectives for these changes are so we can talk about alternate solutions. We also planted a seed for future discussions on how to communicate changes to the community.

    What are the next steps?

    1. Joni will take the suggestions from the etherpad and test them in iterations. 2. Come up with a communication plan so community members can share feedback or get up to speed on changes. 3. Implement or reject changes based on testing and feedback from users and community.

How can the Community help with the next steps?

    1. Look at the etherpad and prototype and share your feedback and concerns. 2. Add your ideas for how to meet the goals listed in the etherpad.

How do we make sure the next steps have a positive impact?

Testing and iteration. Before we implement a big change, we have to test a simplified version of it and iterate, so we don't end up doing a lot of work for little gain.
