  2. Hey folks,

It's pretty quite down here, even though I know you've been doing amazing work to support this update despite the flood of spam questions in our forum.

Just a note, I just updated our release wiki to include the dot releases info, known incident & known issues. Please flag to me if you have anything to add, or directly edit the wikipage if you have an account and comfortable in doing so.

    Thanks, y'all!

We only release the Android version on 128.0.1. It's documented on the wiki.

  5. There is an incident in progress at the present time - users will experience pages not loading across both desktop and mobile.

A fix is being prepped, no ETA right now.

Please tag questions seen with bug1909666

(Please do not suggest to users the about:config pref in the bug - this was done to diagnose the problem and could leave users in a worse state when the issue is resolved.)

  6. If you hear of users having trouble trying to view the Beta of the new Apple maps site (https://beta.maps.apple.com), it is an Apple problem, not an us problem.

  7. Thanks for sharing those two issues, Paul!

Also, I want to share that I have just updated the 128 release wiki to include our release report from 127 and early signals from 128 that we shared with the product team. There's also a credit section where we recognize top contributors from various contribution areas. Please take a look and let me know if you have any feedback!

    Thanks!

  10. Hi,

I've been helping someone on X with a MS Surface Pro X device (with an SQ1 ARM processor) that seem to have some issues with graphics (unless software rendering is enabled, which isn't very performant according to the user).

I can find some forum posts about this, but I can't see anything on Bugzilla. Do I need to create one or am I searching for the wrong thing?

    Thanks

  11. Hey Isaac, I think I tracked it down for you. Btw nice work helping out that user on X. :)

Bug 1881230 - Weird redrawing rectangles appear on Surface Pro 8 (Intel Iris 0x8086/0x9a49), with old version of graphics driver

    The search I used: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?quicksearch=graphics+surface+pro

I find that when searching Bugzilla, use as simple search keywords as possible then sort the search results by the most recent date by clicking the "Updated" column twice to sort the bug list so that the newest date is at the top. Then work your way down the list. ;)

It seems updating the Surface Pro's graphics drivers can fix the graphics problem ("I have manually been able to update to the latest Xe drivers (Version 31.0.101.5330, Date 2/14/2024) which has resolved the issue."). But the devs are also looking into creating a block-list entry for this old driver version. That should help until everyone can update to the latest Intel drivers.

Also Intel must have released some newer drivers since February so hopefully that still fixes it. After updating the gfx drivers, they should reset gfx.webrender.software to false & confirm the issue doesn't happen anymore.
