  2. 48.0.1 is now live and automatic updates have been reenabled. so i guess we can expect a new load of questions from users who just migrated from 47 to 48 in the forum (so far only ~20% of users have been updated to 48).

edit: ...and they are halted again. the websense startup crash is still there :-/

  3. Is this a new bug? Following update to 48.0.1 (with Windows 10) I could not open multiple tabs which had been loaded via Speed dial or website name? Has this been a problem to other users? I had to do a restore to an earlier date and get back to vers 47!

  4. Hi chippyal Thanks for the post. It is possibly a fault with the speeddial add-on. See for instance this question post

May I suggest you post your own question in the support forum. Please use /questions/new/desktop Please try to follow the prompts to include your troubleshooting information.

Restoring to an earlier date with Windows is not often the best fix, and continuing to use an outdated Firefox is usually best avoided. It is possible there is software of similar names around, and we may not be certain exactly what you are using. Once you have posted a support question please reply here to let us know so we are able to help with this issue. Sorry for the inconvenience but we can not move posts from here to the support forum.

  7. new approach to work around the websense dilemma (as 48.0.2 still hasn't reliably addressed that startup crash and automatic updates were turned off): firefox 40-47 users will receive a hotfix which is detecting if websense is present on a system. in case it isn't present the update url will be slightly appended so we can single out those user who are good to update to 48, and they will finally receive automatic updates again.

We did a rollback of the IPS Signatures to 09.09.2016 .. Seems to solve the problem at the Moment...
