SUMO community discussions

Participation Leadership - Global Gatherings 2015

  1. Hey there, SUMO people!

The Participation team is looking for people who want to make participation with Mozilla a success for the whole community. Learn more about it here: http://bit.ly/participationleaders

If you feel that leadership in participation is something for you and are interested in applying, we want to help you do it right!

As part of the application process, you are asked to provide a recommendation letter. Below you can see what questions such a letter should answer to make it easier for reviewers of all the applications.

Please write a letter that includes this information (no longer than one page), and send it our way (mana@mozilla.com, vesper@mozilla.com) - we will provide you with feedback and assistance in finalizing your letter.

    • What are some examples of your recent contribution within Mozilla (for example on a regional level, on a project level, as part of a local or global group, etc.) (can be links to bugzilla entries, project reports, blog posts, etc.)
    • What are your community profile pages? (mozillians.org, SUMO, etc.)
    • Are there any other links related to your Mozillian activities that you can share?
    • Are there any other Mozillians who can vouch for you?
    • Why do you like working with the Mozillian community?
    • What do you think could make collaboration between Mozillians better?
    • What do you want to achieve by attending leadership training? How is it going to influence your future contributions?

You can find even more details about these questions here.

    Go for it!

    Cheers, Michał
