Several attributes disappeared with latest updates introducing supernova. I've found the CSS code #toolbar-menubar{order:-1 !important;} added to userChrome.css works to move the Menu bar to the top. I've tried several examples of CSS code to set tree rows eg Inbox to display alternate rows background white/grey, however, none seem to work. Any suggestions? Thank-you.

I'm using Thunderbird. Select 'Write' to create a new email A window opens ... and the cursor by default is in 'To' field

If I want to send an email to my own email account either 'To' or 'CC'

I start typing the first few letters of my name and it brings up several 'old' email addresses, and these appear in the list before my new current address. Frequently I end up using wrong email address.

Is there a way to remove these 'old' options.

ON other mail programs there is the option to 'right-click' and remove entries from history

I have the portable version of Thunderbird, V115.2.3 (64-bit). I just updated it to this version. It looks pretty but the two top toolbars have changed position. Before the update I used to mostly just hit Get messages and Write. But now those buttons are tiny and on the very top level. I don't really use any of the buttons on the now lower level toolbar, so I have been trying for ages to swap them back but I can't find any control that lets me do this? Can anyone help please?

After upgrading to TB115 I notice an issue where my TB does not close with CMD-Q (on Mac). It even show to CMD-F is configured (?!). But when trying CMF-F it shows the Find/Search function (as it should).

How can I change this back to CMD-Q.

PS: When using CMD-TAB to navigate between running apps it is possible to use CMD-Q to quit. However when TB is the active window it does not work...

Any ideas?

Many Thanks!

When Thunderbird upgraded to Supernova I lost all formatting for text in emails and signature block.

I've tried saving various fonts and recreating work signature block but nothing seems to work. The font that continues to appear is a basic courier style.

I've saved a pdf of various emails, with the first few being the current view I get and that recipients would see. The second last page is a copy from a previous "sent" email with my signature block, and the last page with a "reply" ready to go to that 2nd last page where the loss of formatting is very obvious. I would like to upload these but I'm not able to as it is not an 'image" file.

Any help to try and work out what has happened and how to fix it would be very much appreciated.

Cheers.

The supernova update is really nice, but I couldn't figure out how to show recipients in card view (in table view I just check "recipient" and it shows up as a column). My use case is that I want to easily tell which account (inbox) is associated with each email when using a unified inbox folder.

Hi all, I've been looking through the records but I cannot find anything that looks like the scenario I'm looking at. I probably missed something along the way when turning on the Supernova components.

Here's the drill... I've been running with Thunderbird since before 115.3.0 (64-bit) and I checked Unified mode and it seems to be behaving much better. (THANK YOU, THANK YOU,THANK YOU!)

What I have not figured out is this: When I look at my in-box (I have 6 Email accounts I monitor, which is why I LOVE Unified mode) I have added some columns to the display. Right now, I have the following columns displaying: Thread, Starred, Attachments, Read status, Spam, From, Date, and Location.

How can I setup Supernova to display additional "columns" in the card view. Thanks for any input you have to offer. Tom...

I've just upgraded to TB 115 (Supernova). Functionally, everything seems to be working as before. But using either "classic" or "wide" view, I seem to have lost the ability to resize the message list pane to take up less space on screen. Peviously, I had it set to show five message header lines, and now I can't get it to show less than eight (on "compact" density). That's wasting a significant amount of screen space, which is taken away from the message itself.

Before I report this as a bug, or revert to a previous version (since there's absolutely no sensible reason I can think of to enforce a minimum size of the message list pane, so I definitely want to get rid of it), is there something in the settings or config that I can use to override this behaviour?

when i hover over icons in the toolbar, items in the folder pane, headers and entries in the thread pane a popup shows. it appears to be universal for all popups or tooltips. are they popups or are they tooltips? the text in the popup/tooltip is too small to read, so i would like to make it bigger. all other text styles and sizes have been set in settings and userchrome.css and are good. i have tried various entries for popups and tooltips in my userchrome.css file with no success. can someone point me in the right direction to solve this problem? the layout.css.devPixelsPerPx has been set and is good for my monitor resolution, 3400x1440 on a 34 inch ultrawide screen monitor.

Hi, I have TB 115.2.3. I clicked an option (no idea where it was) "Hide Local Folders" from the left view with all accounts. Recently, I accidentally (unfortunate default shortcut A on the keyboard) moved some emails to my archive that I have set up in the Local folders. Unfortunately, I don't see an option anywhere to restore the visibility of the Local folders on the account tree. Even if I choose Go > Folder from the main menu and point to a local folder nothing happens!

Any idea how to restore the Local folder in view?

I recently installed CardBook add-on, but it was difficult to find it; Simply typing "CardBook" and CardBook is not included in the search results. If I slightly change the search text by adding a space then just briefly in the previous searches displayed below it is listed there with an icon next to it. I click on that icon CardBook and I can then proceed and install the add-on.

I am using thunderbird 102.x on Windows 10, 7 and a number of Linux Distributions which all behave the same. I think there is a fault in the add-on search feature, although I have not observed the issue with other add-ons.

I followed the instruction to "attach the signature from a file instead" but when people reply the image/logo is not there, see attached image. I figured the image is there but just doesn't show up in replies, but someone just tole me it's not showing up on their end. What I don't understand is that when I send an email to my gmail, it's there. I just sent a test to my proton email account and viewed it from a different computer and it was there, plus when I replied it showed up on my end. So I just don't understand why other people don't see it, but I do, even in a different email viewer in a different email account on a different computer, but no one else sees it.

When I looked at the code generated when I used the "compose" to create the sig it shows this:

   CPCR<font style="font-size: 13pt"
</pre>

I replaced that with this:

   CPCR<font style="font-size: 13pt" face="Arial">

That seems to work, but what I want is to have the image directly attached to the email so it doesn't have to download if from my server when they get an email. The instruction I keep finding are not clear on how to do this or on what img moz-do-not-send="false" really means.

can someone help please? </font>
