if I enter an appointment in my Google-calendar in Thunderbird, it is visible in Google but not in Thunderbird. The problem appeared a few days ago. Newest update is installed.

Since an update to 148.0 Thunderbird no longer retains the log in details for my various google calendars. Every morning I get a blank diary and need to delete all the calendar details then renew them by adding them in again. It's never done it before (over many years!) so what's going on?

I am trying to set up a visualization of the columns of the main interface. Here's what I do:

  1. Click on the list icon in the top right corner.
  2. Uncheck the columns I want to hide. Specifically, From (CB), Recipient (CB), and Correspondents (CB).
  3. Apply the selection to all folders: click on the icon in the top right corner, apply columns to.. > folders and its children... > select account > Confirm

These actions produce immediate results. However, the next day or a few days later, when I reopen the program, the column display changes. Sometimes in the main folder (inbox), sometimes in the subfolders.

Is this a known bug? Is there anything I can do to keep the desired column configuration stable?

Hello,

I've moved last week from Microsoft Outlook from Mozilla Thunderbird on my MacBook Pro laptop for managing my e-mail accounts.

I've added an Outlook account (e-mail xxx@hotmail.com) to Thunderbird. However after using Thunderbird a few days I've discovered that some sub-folders in my private folders are missing.

I've added in attachment an image showing my folders on my mobile phone (using Microsoft Outlook) and an image showing my folders on my laptop (using Thunderbird where both 'Bureau' and 'Instruments & Lumières' are missing).

The automatic configuration fails with the message: "Thunderbird failed to find the settings for your email account." When I proceed to the manual setup screen, the Incoming Server field is pre-filled with ".digitranslab.com" (including the leading dot). Operating system: ubuntu 24.04. Thunderbird version 148 snap. Since the latest update, whenever a reminder appears onscreen it is squashed up into a square instead of a letter-slit oblong and is difficult to get rid of. Klicking on the close button has no effect and while klicking on X temporarily removes it, it comes back in a matter of minutes.What is happening and how can I stop this?

I downloaded TB Supernova ver. 115.18.0 (32 bit) to my wife's old Gateway computer. (Win 7 Ultimate Svc Pk 1 32bit). However, after manually configuring the server settings, I get the above error message. Additional information: This old Gateway had Thunderbird on it at one time - don't know the old version. It worked, then quit after an upgrade, and I haven't been able to get it to work since. The ISP provider still has our original password, and I can log into their email server and see 81K worth of emails. I have a Toshiba laptop, also Win 7 64bit, and TB SuperNova is installed and working on it. I used the server settings from my Toshiba to manually configure TB on the Gateway... Any ideas as to what to try next? Peter

All settings in Thunderbird and the server email config are the same for all addresses,. I have three out of ten that do this for some odd reason.

I can log into my Yahoo accounts using Firefox so passwords isn't the issue

I've read thru a number of threads on here and elsewhere but no solution so far. K9 is working on my Android phone and my wife's and her T/bird is working on her PC. Just checked versions, she is on 140.8 ESR and I'm on 148.0. Both running Win 11 Pro.

Tried changing from OAuth2 to Normal, pop window asking for password but that doesn't work

Seems to me to be an issue with Ver 148.0 as my wife's working

What am I missing?

Since updating Thunderbird 64 bit to v147.0.2, then to v148.0 (1st March 2026, just now), requesting the display of 'Unified Folders' (in Folder Modes) does not populate the unified Inbox with messages from any of my eight registered email inbox sources. The individual inboxes with their contents can be displayed below, but not in the unified Inbox.

Since being introduced several versions ago, I have found this feature very useful when checking my various received emails, and it is frustrating to be without it.

Can anyone suggest what I may or may not be doing to get this feature to work any more? I have been all through Settings, but cannot find anything relevant to this problem.

I have noticed that from time to time some of my thunderbird emails transfer automatically to my website and appear in the 'posts' pages as 'pending'. The site admin email is different from my email address so in theory this should not be happening any suggestions?

I have just moved all my email accounts to Zoho mail, under my private domain.

My Neil@ box delivers mail to Thunderbird on Windows 11 and to the Zoho app on Android. All seems well there so far as I've seen so far.

BUT my Jim@ account delivers to the Zoho app on Android and to Thunderbird on Ubuntu 18.4. A significant number of messages show up on Android but NOT on Thunderbird. T'bird doesn't have them in spam or trash or any other possible place, and our filters haven't changed since we used a non-Zoho mail server. Besides, if T'bird marks a message as spam, wouldn't the mail server do the same? It doesn't.

This is a pretty serious problem for us, as we do all our work on desktops, not cellphones.

What can I do to find the problem and fix it?

I followed suggestions on here, did the repair, erased password and replaced it, did the subscribe, and now even the folder is gone. I spent hours trying to research this and repair it and now I have nothing.
