Some of my emails have had the original correspondent's name changed to random one. The email contains the original information. Example: AJ Ket... changed to Kaiser. Please assist. Thank you.

I have Thunderbird on the old computer. For twenty+ years I have read the instructions for moving it to the new computer. i cannot understand/am not at all confident in my ability AND I have only ONE keyboard/mouse. I have to move it from one computer to the other to operate them.

Right now all email is on the old computer, no email is on the new computer. No email has ever been on my cellular telephone. One set of periforals - keyboard/mouse.

I DO have the Bravura, the Plugable transfer cable and accompanying software, and many other things came across, but not the Thunderbird.

I want to do the move/installation correctly so that not one stored email is lost or corrupted.

I need help.

Neither my wife nor I can access email on our respective PCs. This has been the case for four weeks. We can access email by our Android phones, but we really want to use our PCs. I've tried to resolve the problem and failed. Previous to this failure, I had an account with BT but this was transferred to EE. When I attempt to log in to my mail account, I receive the message "Could not connect ... :the connection was refused". I can also add is that in my Account settings, Outgoing Mail server I see a message "Connection to server mail.btinternet.com:465 failed."

I'm running the latest version of Thunderbird 140.12.1esr on 15.7.7 (24G720) on an M1 processor.

I'm witnessing Memory leak > Thunderbird who usually use 800MB jumps to Gb up to 60Gb

It makes this version unusable.

I purchased an Iphone 17 Pro Max and am trying to get the same email as I do through Thunderbird on my I Phone. How do I set this up so that I can see the same email on both the pc an Iphone

Only a recent problem. I can receive emails just fine; only the sending of emails is affected. On the same computer, I open the Gmail website in my browser, and I am able to send emails just fine.

I checked my security program, Bitdefender, and there are no notifications relating to this issue.

Any help on what to check next?

Why am I getting this message when I try and send an email from my Mozilla email client: Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent because the connection to Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp.gmail.com timed out. Try again.

A few days ago the "Junk" folders in my Thunderbird accounts, without any action on my part, were suddenly renamed as "Spam" folders.

Anyone know why this happened?

Sending of a message failed because the Outgoing server (SMTP) send@xtra.co.nz failed. The server may be unavailable or is refusing SMTP connections.' This has happened irregularly over the last 2 months or so, even with a complete shutdown of all devices, power off and restarts. This is occurring in New Zealand. I have tried the suggestions from the web a few times, they have not helped

After updating Thunderbird to version 153.0.1 ESR (64-bit), the InsertSignature button changed its position.

Before the update, the "Insert Signature" button was displayed near the message formatting toolbar, next to the "Body Text" selector.

After the update, the button moved to the top compose toolbar next to the Send button.

My environment:

- Thunderbird 153.0.1 ESR (64-bit) - Windows 11 - InsertSignature 0.4.5 - Quicktext 6.9.1

InsertSignature has not been updated recently (version 0.4.5), and this change appeared only after Thunderbird was updated.

The button used to be located immediately next to the "Body Text" selector in the formatting toolbar. Last Friday everything worked normally. Today (Monday) the button position changed.

Is this an intended UI change in Thunderbird 153, or is it a compatibility issue or bug?

If possible, is there any way to restore the button to its previous location near the formatting toolbar?
