I'm having an issue with some of my filters not working. I've checked the several times and they should be set up correctly, but, for some reason, they don't perform their respective actions, even when I press "Run Now".

Also: I recently changed the sorting of my e-mails to be threaded by chain. I like to have all of my most recent e-mails show up at the top, but, within each thread, the most recent e-mail shows at the bottom (see the supposedly-attached image). Is there a way to flip this?

After deleting an email (GMAIL) from any folder and emptying Trash, the email is still in "All Mail". Deleting from "All Mail" and emptying Trash still leaves the email in "All Mail" - in fact, selecting the email to be deleted in "All Mail" and then selecting "Delete" causes them to disappear and then reappear. This used to work correctly. Using !39.0.1 64 bit version. Note: I recently had to reinstall Thunderbird after a systems issue - causing me to reinstall Windows 11 and noticed the problem after that. It might be that the GMAIL "Trash" folder has been linked to "All Mail". I can delete the emails by signing on to GMAIL on the web and deleting them that way.

Problems with connection to Xfinity email. Will not connect when using the windows desktop version. I have no problems (currently) with the mobile version. both have the same setting but for some reason the Desktop version will not accept the password provided. Cleared the cache on the desktop and still no connection to xfinity. connection stopped 6/2/2025 around noon eastern time US. Any suggestions?

I am using Thunderbird as an email server. From time to time I navigate to the 'roaming' folder and save the 'Thunderbird' folder as a backup. I could then rename the old back-up file to 'Thunderbird' and read the old emails. That has always worked in the past, but since I have had to change email platform that doesn't seem to work any more. So how can I set thunderbird to view these old emails?

After the last update to version 129 my e-mail account crashed because of incompatiblity with Eule (May 28). I had to reinstall Thunderbird from an older version and reconfigure the E-mail account (and was offline for some time).

Unable to receive new emails sending works fine. Receiving emails works with no security but do not wish to continue with this mode. No errors for ssl/tls, just doesn't receive emails. I tried switching to oAuth2 but no go either. Version: 128.10.2esr. This started on the 21st of May.

How do I adjust settings to prevent Thunderbird 139.0.1 from converting color jpg files to black and white on my new Macbook Air. Old Macbook pro using Thunderbird ver 128.11.0 did not have this problem with the same email and attachment!

Beginning on May 19,2025 my email will no longer download from centurylink to my Thunderbird program/account. I've tried talking to both centurylink and brightspeed that took over centurylink. They were completely clueless.

I normally use Fedora but my Fedora machine died yesterday. For a time being I want to use Thunderbird on my Mac.

I have a backup of my thunderbird profile directory from Fedora 42. This corresponds to thunderbird-128.8.0. On the other hand, the current version on the mac is thunderbird-138.0.2.

1. Since the version number is higher on the mac I think I will be able to use the old 128.8.0 profile with the new mac version ?

2. If I do this, I will not be able to transfer my profile back to Fedora when I get it working again (because the version number there is lower) ?

3. Is there a way from me to install thunderbird-128.8.0 on the Mac so that I will be able to transfer my profile back to Fedora ?

I m trying to set up as my third email in thunderbird an account which is mickel@embarqmail.com. It sets up using the manual settings following their server instruction fine. But it will not accept my password. I know it is correct because I can log in on their webmail site. What can I do? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I currently use the Daily version of Thunderbird V141.0a1 and I am using it to connect to my Gmail account via Imap. Recently the client has started showing two Junk folders, one I am assuming is for the Thunderbird Junk mail settings, which is being shown as being on the gmail server but the folder doesn't exist when I use the web interface into gmail, the second Junk folder is actually the server's Spam folder which the Thunderbird client has recently started showing as the name Junk. If I open that folder it displays the email the server has classified as spam, and if I attempt to rename that Junk folder back to Spam it fails with a message that the Spam folder already exists. How do I rectify this situation?

I'm migrating an existing Mozilla Thunderbird account/email from Windows 10 computer onto a new Windows 11 computer; I've downloaded Mozilla Thunderbird from the download site onto the new Windows 11 machine and set up my credentials, but initially none of my Local Folders were visible; then I exported the %APPDATA% site where my profiles folder lived on the Windows 10 machine and imported it into the %APPDATA% site on the Windows 11 machine, and now, for some reason, I have 2 instances of my email name, 4 instances of a Local Folders ... and even though I'm getting/sending email from that Windows 11 machine, the Local Folders remain empty and the tools to move inbound emails into them are not working. What should I do?

Thunderbird is set as my default email client on my desktop Windows 10 in the default apps and it's set in the Default Programs control panel but when I try to send a document on my desktop to mail recipient, a message comes up saying there is no email program associated to perform the requested action. It is set in Thunderbird as well as the default mail client. Cortana is no longer accessible on Windows 10 on my pc. Thunderbird is set as the email client in the registry settings, I have only a few Startup programs running on startup and cleared the cache in Thunderbird so I don't know what else to do to fix this?

Can someone please give me instructions ..how to recover and reinstate all my emails history that was in my local folders on my laptop which is using windows 10 pro???? so annoying to have all my folders now empty ... so many emails with important info. PLEAS PLEASE help asap
