Guten Tag

Das E-Mail-Programm meldet immer „Passwort falsch“ oder GMX verweigert den Zugang? Komisch ist nur, dass es nur mit ihrem E-Mail-Programm so ist. Das Programm bekommt keinen Zugang, obwohl das Passwort ok ist. Alle Programme funktionieren, nur Ihres nicht. Auch eine Neuinstallation hat nicht geholfen. Seit heute kann ich keine E-Mail bei allen Konten mehr abrufen, da bei allen Konten die Passwörter falsch sein sollen?

This is the message I get when I try to send a message. Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: <budguinn@charter.net> sender rejected. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again.

I have included a screen shot of my server settings.

With the new meadow update when either replying to a message or selecting new message there is no command menu bar to send save as draft etc.... tried several of the commands an setting changes but nothing seems to work - can do cntrl+enter to send and that s about it....

all INBOX emails disappeared from one of my email accounts. The other is working fine. Emails that were still open in one of the tabs are also now just an empty tab. --no luck repairing folder or deleting INBOX.msf. If I go to the Charter/Spectrum website the emails are still showing What should I try next?

Something seems to have changed recently with the PDF rendering in Thunderbird. I received an email with a PDF file attached. When I view it on the screen it looks fine, but when printing it out from within Thunderbird part of the top of the first page missing; it looks like part of the image is behind a white rectangle.

When I save the file and print it using Acrobat Reader it renders fine.

I don't know what to make of this behavior, but it does seem to be new and there is a difference between how the file is printed from Thunderbird as opposed to printing using Adobe Reader.

Thunderbird 152.0.1 on Windows 11 PC.

Is it possible to import to, or display email messages, in Thunderbird, which are stored in a Becky Internet Mail program folder (https://www.rimarts.co.jp/becky.htm), please?

8.24.2026 As of yesterday, Thunderbird Inbox new messages have no content showing. Today, a few new messages can through with a date stamp only-- no subject or sender info and no content when clicked on. Ran the Troubleshooter procedure in which all old Inbox messages vanished. Some slowly came back with subject/sender info but now their content is missing. Today, Spam folder held new messages w/subject/sender line and content showing. But still no new emails with/subject/sender and content. just a time stamp. What's going on?

I'm looking for a possibility to customize the font size of OUTGOING mails (not the incoming, these I could already change). For example, what term should I search for in the advanced settings?

Hello. There is no longer a Compose button by my folders on the main email screen. I can go up top to the Menu bar and click on Message, but there used to be a compose button right there on the page...how do I get this back?

I have just used a saved email address to write an email. When I went to send it the send failed because the from account was an old account I do not use anymore.

How do I change saved email addresses so they do not use the old account.

Why would this happen.

I checked which account I was using at the time and then repeated the process with the same result. I was using my current account.

I attempted to get into an account and my password did not appear. When I attempted to get into my password manager, it has disappeared completely and I have no access to that information

I have been using Thunderbird successfully for sometime and since yesterday there were no new emails in my inbox. This coincided with Thunderbird being upgraded, so I am told. So, I tested by sending an email to myself but TB kept assuming my old email address was valid (died last year) and any attempt to get in and edit my address failed because it kept thinking the old email was was still valid. So, I installed Betterbird, hoping it might work but it copied over my profile, etc and it had the same problem! I guess I could look far another email client but I want to stay with Thunderbird.

T-Bird is Freezing (Hang?) from start to freeze was 5 minutes and a few seconds. Have turned off hardware acceleration and now it freezes at just under 5 minutes. Have put on updates. Currently 153.0.1esr (64-bit). I have captured profile, and re-installed and picked up the profile. Still freezes. Turned off AV. Still freezes. I have compressed and "repaired" all folders. Still Freezes. I forced folders to get rid of anything older than 30 days. Still freezes.

I have been running the task manager, and T-Bird in frozen state is only using 4.3% of CPU at most. I do not see any slowdowns for any other program. So this is not a CPU constrained problem. And it certainly is not memory constrained.

All this started within the past month and I think it was after I put on an ESR update (don't remember which one).

I can kill T-Bird and start it and it will get mail if any, and will function for about 5 minutes and then freezes (or hangs). The system is set to fetch mail on start up and then every 27 minutes. I am not using Account hub (and don't know what it does).

One oddity -- This is a W11 Home system, and Mozilla keeps saying it is a W10 system. Could this be the problem? Wife is running a lesser laptop. It is also running T-Bird, but her O/S is a W11 Pro and she is not having this problem.

I installed Thunderbird on my new laptop, then imported the profile from my old laptop

The main screen has, under "Inbox", folders for Drafts, Sent, Trash, Archive and Spam, which are being used by the program

Folders for Drafts, Sent and Trash also appear under "Local Folders" (along with Outbox) and these aren't being used by the program.

How do I get rid of these duplicate folders? "Spam" had a delete option, so that was easy, but the others don't.

I tried the two suggestions for a previous "Duplicates" question but they didn't resolve things.

I wanted to share a specific startup freeze loop I encountered today.

I had a moderate number of tabs open in Thunderbird when I quit the app. I had set up a single IMAP message filter yesterday to automatically move incoming automated text alerts into their own folder (causing about 50–60 small emails arriving in quick succession this morning at startup).

The Problem: Upon starting up, the app almost immediately choked and became unresponsive. Unlike the freeze report by another user here on August 21st.

My Workaround: After a few attempts to open Thunderbird I managed to break the freeze loop by instantly closing the single open UI window right at startup. This kept T-bird running invisibly in the macOS background. It seemed that without the need of rendering the UI, the background engine successfully completed all the IMAP syncing and filtering tasks.

When I brought Thunderbird back to the foreground, all my open tabs instantly "snapped", and the app has been perfectly stable since. I haven't tried to replicate this due to the fear of breaking the current stability.

Has anyone else recently noticed Thunderbird freezing under similar conditions lately? Let us know if this workaround helps you get past your startup freezes too!

I've often wondered what the point of 'extended support release' (I think) really means. It sounds retrograde. Should I switch/upgrade?

I just installed Thunderbird 154, but i cannot find the address book. i know it exists as T-bird does preload my addresses when i create a new email. Is there a button that I am not seeing?

I recently migrated to Linux and was able to reinstall my Thunderbird account. However in the previous MS windows version I was able 'choose 'the font as well as other basics for each account signature. In the version I now have it is purely a default font. I tried the forum solution which was to create a message in html then copy it in- didn't work. i don't want to have to add a file everytime when it wasn't necessary before? I want a different signature for 5 different purpose accounts. Why can't I do this in this version of Thunderbird? I also no longer see what font I am in. I just created a dummy email and chose a font. I doubt that will be in place for my next message ie it doesn't offer a default option as outlook would

I have successfully added five ntlworld.com email accounts in Thunderbird but my two personal ones keep coming up with Authentication error. Each time the screen shows the details of the account found automatically so the information is coming from somewhere.

Advice I gratefully received was to Disable the account hub in Settings / General, then add the account from New Account, and use an application specific password assigned via your email provider.

Virginmedia no longer seems to acknowledge ntlworld accounts but says they are talktalk. However, talktalk says they do not hold the accounts.

I do not understand how I can disable the account hub in Settings when it has not loaded.

I cannot understand why two of the accounts do not load.
