Firefox for Android Community Forum

So now home screen icons are circles.

Can you please not? At least allow me to set my own style for home screen. I always prefer rectangular shapes on my device, they make everything more recognizable and easier for my autistic brain to navigate. I'm sick and tired of everything becoming soft and rounded nowadays.

I use Thunderbird with a HostGator mail account. This has worked perfectly with the desktop client for years. However with Thunderbird for Android, while it will send email, any mail I send to a Gmail account simply vanishes! Using the Edison Mail app on the same phone with the same account login credentials sends such mail perfectly! Any ideas?

One of my favorit websites recomends the Firefox setting "DNS over HTTPS" and I dont know how to make this 'cause I cannot find this setting, please can someone explain me a solution?

I Tagged This Post Under The *SETTINGS* Topic, But I Believe That It Could Also Fall Under SeverL Other Topics Or Categories As Well Such As The Following: • ACCESSIBILITY • BROWSE or SEARCH • CONNECTIVITY • PRIVACY & SECURITY & I Must Say.... I Am Absolutely Loving The Firefox BETA Web Browser Thus Far & All The Different Settings & Security Features Available, But There Is Either A BUG, Or A Feature That Is Just Missing (for whatever reason) That I Feel Is A MUST HAVE Added Feature & NEEDS To Be Added, Implemented, & Supported Immediately For Users With Disabilities Such As Myself. I Am A U.S. Army Combat Veteran & Lost My Hands In Combat Due To An I.E.D (roadside bomb) & I Rely On Voice Texting To Be Able To Send Messages, Search, Stay Connected With My Community & Friends Online, & The Ability To Even Use A Smartphone Device With Relative Ease. The Gboard Functionality & Ease Of Use Along With The Instant Translations Of Languages , & Audio Translation Features Make My Phone Use Pretty Much As Good As Someone Who Has BOTH Of Their Hands Still. I Love Everything About The Extensions & Added Safety Features With Firefox & The BETA Is My GO TO Web Browser From Now On & That Will Doubtfully Ever Change. But, The Missing VOICE TEXT Will Definitely Change That Decision If It Is Not Implemented Soon, I NEED That Feature & Without It Then The Web Browsers Added Security Is Completely Useless For Me, Because I Won't Be Able To Work The Device On My Own Anymore. Just Like Now.... I'm Now Relying On My Wife To Type & Send My Messages For Me Due To The Missing Voice Text Capability, Which Is Just Not A Preferred Method Or One %hat Ik Willing To Stick With Permanently. She Doesn't Have Time To Take Care Of My Online Social Matters For Me & I Refuse To Ask Her To Do Such. So With That Being Said, Either Mozilla Firefox Needs To Add A Voice Texting Capability To It's Browser Settings Within The Veta Or Else I Will Be Forced To Discontinue It's Use. I Mean, Am I Just Over-Looking Some Sort Of Extension, Add On, Feature, Setting, Or Am I Right & There Isn't (me Available, Because I Prefer To Use The Gboard Due To It's Outstanding Functionality & I Noticed Anytime I Open A Tab Or Access The Firefox Beta Web Browser & Attempt To Either Search For Something, Or If I'm In A Public Chat Setting While Using The Browser, Then The Microphone 🎙️ & Voice Texting Capability & Logo Completely Disappears From My Gboard Keyboard & Is No Longer Accessible For Some Unknown Stupid Reason...??? Need help.....i'm a senior, definitely not a computer wizard, getting very confused by all the computer speak that i'm sure is meant to help, but for me it's the opposite....so far i've spent 2.5 hours this afternoon to no avail, trying to understand the how to's being offered by Firefox.......my main concern is, will shutting down Pocket take my contacts....saved emails....bookmarks....saved passwords ie bill paying with it?..... what happens if i do nothing? .....or do i need to spend a day forwarding all emails ...bookmarks etc.....to Google Chrome?

I have been a long time user of Firefox & would prefer to stay with Firefox.....my needs have been pretty simple so far, i suppose that's why i haven't had problems. I have Firefox on my HP desktop running Windows professional......also on my Samsung Ultra 21 Android smart phone. A simple solution would be greatly appreciated. Something like ... don't worry, your computer won't blow up if you do nothing or it will only be a very small hiccup if you do nothing. Many thanks in advance for some guidance. I am trying to import my passwords and bookmarks from Chrome but the instructions available don't work. The menu options don't exist in my firefox as installed on Android tablet and it's my only device- no computer available. I am bedridden so cannot go anywhere to do anything. Chrome is overheating my tablet so I can't use it. I loved Firefox when I had a computer. Is there a way to import these without a separate personal computer?

When I try to use Firefox for Android on my Pixel cell, most prompts and other text show up in Bangla instead of English. I don't speak Bangla, and only found out what it was when, at the Google Play store, I found a "translate" prompt. When I clicked on it, the reply came, "Sorry, we don't support Bangla yet." I was then directed to "choose another source language." Yet when I clicked on the dropdown, four results were listed, all of them similar-looking Asian words that meant nothing to me. In effect, I am left without access to my browser, except by luck if I happen to guess right about how to get to where I want to go. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks!

Recently switched from a cheap Samsung phone (a15) that did not have this issue, but on my brand new Pixel 9 the address bar almost never responds immediately; I have to mash it for a solid 10+ seconds until it finally allows me to highlight text or type something. Is there a fix for this of some sort?

A cursory google search only pulled up a single reddit thread from about three months ago of someone describing a similar issue but no resolution was given, just a couple commenters chiming in to say they have also experienced this - all Pixel users.
