Hi, I can't change the location from recommended in the Android built in VPN. When I press on location or recommended nothing happens. Any help appreciated

Sorry to keep reposting but it keeps getting put in the desktop forum even through I select the Android forum!

I tested the security of my VPN and found firefox browser was allowing the WebRTC for video/audio which it is built into the browser is reporting my IP address. All I need to do is open about:config then go to media.peerconnection.enabled and change it from true to FALSE

Now after about:config is typed in the address bar the page stops loading or to say the page will not load. I am doing this on Android Firefoxs home page, beside all the different browsers you can choose. What's up with all that stuff, Please help me plug this leak! Helped me open the config program. Closing remote tab on smartphone closes immediately this tab on desktop. But opposite way stopped to work since some update: Remote tab closed on desktop still appear on smartphone. Not any action, notification on smartphone as it used to be. Fresh install Firefox for Android, updated Firefox on PC (Windows11).

I really don't like the "swipe right to go back" function on the mobile browser: I always trigger it by mistake and reload a previous page when I don't intend to. It's especially bad when reading webcomics, as I have to zoom in and move aroud a lot on the page, and if I hit the left edge a bit too fast I get sent to the previous web page.

I dug around a bit in the settings but couldn't find the option to disable this function, so if you could add it (or explain where to find it if it's already there) I'd be most grateful.

P.S. Please don't ever add AI slop to Firefox, I beg of you

Please consider looking into this as it's really annoying, it had me consider using another browser just for this issue, I ended up considering opera for example which has a much better YouTube experience on mobile, which leads me to think this is a browser issue not YouTube issue. We love Firefox, please consider fixing this. Thank you.

Android 12 on a Samsung S10+ Phone

Up until just a few days ago I could view X (twitter) directly using the Firefox browser and get the same experience I get on my Linux desktop. X changed something and will no longer load directly in the browser, but passes me off to the X app which I had to load on my phone.

Is there a way to bypass this and allow Firefox to directly access the X feed as it was doing a week ago?

BTW, the same thing happened long ago to the AP News site. However, on one phone I have a legacy link that still allows direct access, However, any attempt to create a new direct link forces me to the AP News app.

I'd like to try out the built-in VPN, but can't find it. I've seen many older posts about this, but nothing recent. It's now August of 2026.

I'm using Firefox 154.0.1 on Android 16. I'm in the United States.

I'm logged into my browser with my Firefox account. I know it's working as I can open browser tabs between my mobile device and other devices using my account.

I'm not seeing the built-in VPN feature.

"VPN" does not appear in Settings as described in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/mobile-android-vpn

By comparison, attached is a screenshot of what I have in Settings > Privacy and Security.

Any guidance?

I have the "Block AI Features" setting enabled, but I'm still getting the "Ask Gemini" option in the long-hold context menu for Firefox Mobile on Android.

Is there any way to remove this option? It's cluttering the context menu and I dont want to misclick it. Or otherwise, is this a known and tracked issue?

In firefox (on android 13) I cant access the sign-in page for stewardship.org.uk It works in Chrome and Edge from same wifi network. I have allowed all scripts and cookies and turned off mozilla vpn. I'm not sure how to troubleshoot. Same problem in my linux desktop. Firefox 154 updated today. Is there a troubleshoot mode in the mobile firefox? Thx.

I thought tab groups should be available by now on android, why am I still unable to use them? I can't drag and drop (tried to no avail), there are no settings I can toggle and I'm really getting frustrated. I use the most recent version from the Play Store, and my phone is on Android 16, so "Software too old" can't be the case...

My Firefox app is updated to the latest version available (154.0.1 Build #2016180583). In multiple places over the past couple of months, I've seen Mozilla advertising Tab Groups for the Android Firefox app, but I still have not gotten this functionality. Right now on the Google Play Store page, there is a section that says "Major update" for "Tab groups. It's like therapy for your tabs." However, there is no new update available for me to select because it's already updated to the most recent version. How do I get the tab groups functionality? I've seen some mentions of this possibly being a phased roll out, but if that's the case, why is it be broadly advertised without any indication that it's not actually available to everyone yet?

Since May 21st, I am now on Firefox installer 15. That's a lot of interruptions in three months. Can you please explain? Not that it's difficult or time consuming now that I readily understand, just happens when I have least time! Also means I have to open Chrome, which seems perverse. Thank you.
