Hello, I cannot get videos to go into full screen in FF as they used to before latest update. Tested on various sites. There are no controls shown on YouTube unless i either hide the taskbar or scroll down both of which is a nuisance. On some sites the task bar stays at the bottom which it didn't used to do. link text

The problem comes up for two days after Windows crashes with a blue screen. After POR Windows recovers itself and now works, but FireFox and Thunderbird chrashes immediately after start. Do you have an idea, what can I do? FireFox crash ID: bp-c4fe47cd-45dc-4024-8cc1-4a2220231204

I'm participating in a discussion group based on Wordpress (learning.martinus.dk), and when I try to sign in (learning.martinus.dk/wp-login.php), I get the error.

My IP adr. is 80.208.65.123 and it is NOT suffering from poor reputation -- and no problem when I sign in from e.g. Chrome!

So what can I do so I can use my favorite browser here too!?  ;o)

So I just picked up a new laptop (ASUS Vivobook 16x), and everything is fresh on it. Additionally, this only affects some video content in Firefox, with Edge browser unaffected. In brief, what is happening is that within a couple hours of having the browser open, certain video content stops working, specifically Twitter/X videos just spin, YouTube previews stop working, and videos continually load. Netflix videos continue to work, but hover previews stop functioning. I even check the 'Stats for Nerds' on YT and it shows 0 KB network activity in Firefox.

I've tried every basic action I can think of:

• Turning off extensions (only use Ublock and Bitwarden)
• Browser Refresh (x3)
• Reverting from 120.1 to 120.0, and now 199.0.1
• Clearing the browser cache
• Reinstalling NVidia and Intel Drivers
• Running in Safe Mode

Only by doing a refresh or completely closing/opening the app gets videos to function again. This doesn't affect the old laptop or my desktop, which makes me think it's a rogue driver--but then why would Edge function without error over the same period of time?

Are there any settings to play with in the browser that can help diagnose?

On FF 120.0.1 and Tab Reloader 0.6.1

I have FF set up with 7 tabs as home page, 6 of the tabs have tab reloader set to reload ever 1 hour. This has worked fine for years, the tab reload for the 6 tabs were saved after restarting FF. I didn't have to go back and tell tab reloader to reload after restarting FF. Maybe once and a while one tab didn't get the reload saved on a restart, usually always the same one.

Now when I restart FF none of the tabs have saved the setting to reload every 1 hour.

This has been going on for the last 2 releases of FF updates and there hasn't been any updates for tab reloader. Does anyone know why this is happening, I haven't changed anything in settings. I did uncheck hardware acceleration to see if that would fix another issue, but tabs weren't reloading after restart prior to that change on hardware accelation.

Stop tabs from automatically refreshing to top of page. Many people have this problem and I don't find a fix. One article states to go to Options and "Warn me when websites try to redirect or reload the page," but I can't find options.

My regular profile has deleted all saved history, tabs, bookmarks, etc. This happened before and seems related to having private browings open. and to an update in progress or recent.

Opend a private window. Then noticed regular FF wasn't opened. I opened the usual profile and all saved info is gone. Also, my stuff to be synced is way out of date so can't restore from there (I always had sync up to date). My "backup" can't be opened to restore.

Where do I find yesrterday's info? How do I restore my session, bookmarks, etc?

Last time, I tried to follow directions I found soemwhere but the instruction werent clear at all and had to restore from a disk image.

Why is there stsill the private window deleting regular window?

Why is Firefox suddenly not remembering any of my logins or passwords? When I go into Preferences > Security, the box to "remember logins and passwords for websites" is checked. When I click on saved passwords they all are there. The do you want to save box is there if I have changed a login, or added a new web site. I am not in private browsing mode. The problem seems to happen every time I install the latest Firefox update, or Windows 10 Pro updates. Some of my apps want to know if I am using a new device.

Been having a problem with downloading for about 2 weeks now.

I am doing a course in Ethical Hacking, and have been told to download an .ova file from the internet. The download is 8.5 GB.

However, it has failed on, now, 8 occasions. The nearest it has come, is it has downloaded 5.1 GB.

Could anybody recommend another tool to download files better and quicker? This course is now almost halfway through and I still have not managed to download the software. Any suggestions would be most welcome. Could it possibly be the case that my anti-virus, Microsoft Defender, is not letting the download through? If so, how could I switch the anti-virus off, please?

Ok well i went to about config and tired off all the accessibility about the quick help bar and now my question is every time i try to go to google search and click on shopping no matter what item i am searching for I get a pop up at the the bottom i of the page every time i hit on shopping that say error update can not be added to this list or some thing like that. it was ok until the last update o of firefox and since i did that but am not sure why. doe not do it in Chrome just frefox. firefox is getting to the point b where i an thing king of leaving it. I installed Firefox on a new laptop and synced it. The bookmarks all were transfered. But when I log into some websites they do not recognize the password, even when the passwords are correct and still work on my previous computer/Firefox brow’ for ‘Firefox.

Just opened up Fireox and everything has gone - all bookmarks and folders, toolbar with shortcuts, all of it. I am not a technical person. What do i do to get it all back? Thank you Harry

Is there a Firefox setting that automatically clears cookies? When I turned my computer on, it had been cleared of cookies since the last time I had it on a few hours ago, but I didn't do it. No one else here to use the computer but me. I don't want cookies cleared automatically. How do I change it back to manual? I use Firefox Browser 120.0

This issue started with a (frustrating) set of steps following a page which wasn't displayed (https://www.ziggogo.tv/) - the screen remained black. Refresh solved it but the reinstalled plugins didn't show an icon and did not work at all. I de-installed Firefox, installed some old version from an update, installed all plugins and then updated to the latest version. Now finally everything seems to work- except that the 2nd and next windows show at a quarter of the size compared to the first whchi show correctly. I've tried everything I could think of with xulstore.json in the correct ..\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\ subdirectory but nothing helps. I deleted it (which requires you to re-check that you want a menu bar),when I though for a moment it worked, made it read only (which means Firefox makes a .tmp version of it), manually changed the content (e.g. to "main-window":{"screenX":"4","screenY":"4","width":"3840","height":"2048","sizemode":"maximized"}}} matching my 4K monitor but nothing helps. And no, Ctrl click the Close button doesn't help either.

I suspect that it is a (maybe reintroduced) bug in a later build. I don't update often and I haven't seen this issue before.

Anything I can do which I haven't tried?

Hello, every once in a while Firefox on my Win 10 PC resets bookmarks, logins and saved tabs to ones that I used several weeks/months ago. I also remember that it once switched back to a newer instance a few days after switching to and older one. When I try to open the app, it also creates a new icon on my taskbar. This has happened around 4-5 times in the last year. Does any one have an idea what the problem might be? Thanks in advance!

shoould i uninstall and reinstall mozilla firefox? as far as i know im using all the default settings. when i search the net it returns a page that im sure the site doesnt intend its text and other features to be so HUGE. I ALWAYS have to scroll down to get to a button.

Good evening, I have an issue related to ETP. Reading through several articles I couldn't find an answer to the following thing: How do you treat cookies set by Hubspot or GA4? They are a First Party cookie, but they don't always have samesite-parameter filled out.

I know that the lifespan is limited for first-party cookies. But I don't get whether samesite=none/empty makes a difference? Because data will be sent to a third-party server.

I'd be glad about clarification and your help. If you have articles covering this issue, that would also be great. Thank you for your support.

Shortcut icons (4 rows of them) have disappeared from my Firefox home tab. After a Firefox update, they were gone. Just white boxes. I tried to re-enter shortcut information, but the box always goes back to white and empty. I tried a System Restore. That didn't work either. I depend on these shortcuts for my work and bill paying. Please, someone help me! Thanks!
