Given that v. 47.0.1 is the last one to be supported on 10.6.8, the answer given here:

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-osx#firefox:mac:fx45

doesn't make it clear whether if it is preferable, IN TERMS OF BEST POSSIBLE FUNCTIONALITY (not necessarily security), to use v. 48 and later ones, or v. 45.x.x.ESR until it runs out in 2017.

This in particular: "Note: Some Firefox features might not be available on ESR." has caught my attention. Is there a way to know which are those features that are not available?

Thanks,

This isn't really a question, but I hope it will help some people. I had the bing toolbar appear at the top of firefox, and I tried every suggestion I found to delete it, in addition to ways I already knew. Nothing worked...until I searched through tools/options and found my home page had been changed. I simply changed it back to what it was before bing took over. Now everything is back to normal.

When I print from another browser it prints fine. I did not have this problem with firefox before. I will switch to another browser for now due to this problem.

How do I restart firefox with the same tabs and windows?

It isn't in the File or Tools menu. I get nothing when searching help. Yet FF knows how to do it, say when updating extensions.

I know I can do it by saving my session, exiting, restarting and restoring the session But is there a single command to do all that?

Thanks. --David

1) press: Ctrl+Shift+Del to go to History cleaning. 2) select timeframe: all 3) mark: Cookies, Browser Cache, Active Logins, Offline Data, Site Settings. (you can also mark Search History but it is not neccessary) 4) press: Clear button.

It solved the problem of downloading 0kb files instead of YouTube videos.

Does the Network Monitoring component of the Firefox Developer Tools have a way to preserve its log upon navigation (which would otherwise be cleared), similar to the Chrome or Safari Developer Tools "Preserve log upon navigation" button?

I've tried checking the "Enable persistent logs" option for the Web Console in settings, but it does not appear to affect the Network Monitoring tab. I also didn't see any bugs filed for it, so I just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking something obvious.

Thanks, Kevin

I accidentally closed my session which had a very lengthy backup history with important sites in that said session history. As far as I know firefox keeps the last session backup saved somewhere. How can I access the last session backup?

In addition, I know this is a different question, but it's bound to have a short answer and is related to my issue. Currently firefox does not keep all of my history, it selectively chooses which websites to store in the history. How can I make sure that it stores all of my history? It used to save all the websites I visited, but for some reason now it doesn't.
