Today I was prompted to restart Firefox. When I did, I got a homepage that said "Congratulations on 150 versions of Firefox" or something like that. Then I shut my computer down. When I booted it back up, ALL of my profiles, bookmarks and web history are gone. I can't find anything on my desktop to "restore" my old settings. I'm prompted to "create new" profiles. WTF is going on?!?!

I had a problem where FF 140.0 would not update, and in trying to get FF yo update, I used a re-install tool to which I was pointed in my problem report. This caused FF to wipe out my configuration, and I lost all my windows and tabs. I have gone to

    \Appdata\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Proifiles\abnfpged.default

cleared all of the data therein, and restored that directory from a backup I made last Monday. But I cannot get FF to use that directory. "about:profiles" shows only two profiles, but the Profiles directory has five profiles:

Only the profiles beginning with "j" and "f1" are seen in the "about:profiles" screenshot I have attached. And I have attached a screenshot of my profiles.ini file. Also, in the abnfpged.default directory I restored, where is the list of all of my open windows and tabs? FF used to keep that in a sessionstore.jsonlz4 file, but that file is only written when FF closes. I tried to save a copy when I was having problems, but I stored the copy in the same directory, which FF changed during the re-install process. Here is my profiles,.ini file:

I have not worked with the ;profiles.ini file in many years, as my FF configuration has not had problems. Thanks.

My Firefox browser just updated to version 150. I was notified that Mozilla now has a free browser-based VPN. I have followed the instructions listed, but I don't see the VPN option available. Also, I don't recall seeing a pop-up request from Firefox about getting access to this VPN.

Is it possible for me to get access with my account?

I can't open netflix or https://predatorhunteroutdoors.com . Why am I getting this message?

The issue is most likely with the website, and there is nothing you can do to resolve it. You can notify the website’s administrator about the problem.

bold textWhen I opened my computer this morning without warning the Firefox had a new default page and all my information was gone. I've tried deleting and redownloading and trying to follow the instructions on how to transfer the information, I could not get anything to work. I know I'm doing something wrong but have no ideas what I am suppose to do. Very disappointed I had some importat information on the desktop and would like to get it back.

I have recently purchased a new Windows 11 computer, and want to install Firefox there and transfer all my bookmarks, passwords, etc. There are obviously quite a few Support articles on this topic, and seemingly quite a few methods to use: copy and paste profile folder, sync, the backup/restore function within Settings, etc. I'm a bit reluctant to use sync, as some users report it can be an incomplete transfer. My current profile also may contain some "corruption", so I'm reluctant to copy the entire profile folder to the new computer.

My questions are: 1. Why is it "best is to avoid restoring a full profile folder"? 2. Is this the complete list of "important files that are safe to restore/transfer"? 2. In my profile folder, there are several files that start with the same file name, but then have different file extensions. For example: cookies.sqlite, cookies.sqlite.bak, cookies.sqlite-shm, cookies.sqlite-wal. Should I restore ALL these files, or just "cookies.sqlite"? 3. Is the correct procedure to copy the selected files from the "old" profile, and then paste them to the "new" profile, which presumably would overwrite files of the same name in the "new" profile? A very anoying popup appear asking if If I want to start Firefox when Windows start.

How can I click: Never ask again. Why in the world would anyone ever want this enabled.

thanks for making me waste 20 mins trying to figure out to find the VNP setup, and thinking i must be blind or just very stupid, until i realize maybe not my country, and google and find it is not.

When I try to Login or Change Password there is no OTP Emails received from Mozilla contact emails.

I tried multiple way but still nothing received.
