If I use my touch monitor when a video player is full screen, the full screen Firefox window turns grey and becomes unresponsive to mouse and touch input. After installing the Native MathML extension (to get MathML typeset equations on the Wikipedia, as suggested on mediawiki.org), all equations set by MathJax/MathML turned to using STIX instead of Latin Modern. I'd like them to stick to Latin Modern instead.

The only possibly related setting I've found is `font.name-list.serif.x-math` in about:config, whose value is `Latin Modern Math, STIX Two Math, […]`. I tried to manually change the font family specification of some text to see if Firefox could use Latin Modern Math to begin with, but apparently it can't (see first screenshot attached), while it loads STIX allright (second screenshot). Latin Modern is not the first locally installed typeface I haven't been able to use, but it's the first one I have really tried to (I don't remember which one the other typeface was).

My Latin Modern font comes from TeX Live 2019 installed using the TUG installer, not Fedora's package manager. `fc-list | grep -i "latin modern math"` returns `/usr/local/texlive/2019/texmf-dist/fonts/opentype/public/lm-math/latinmodern-math.otf: Latin Modern Math:style=Regular`. I'm running Firefox 87 on Fedora 33.

Hi,

I had to delete all my profiles and completely reinstall Firefox because Firefox was not changing the color of previous websites to purple no matter what I tried. I thought I could delete the profiles and create a brand new one to start over fresh.

After reinstalling Firefox (latest version) I have run into a problem where under <about:addons> <Plugins> it shows a yellow box and an error saying "Widevine Content Decryption Module provided by Google Inc. will be installed shortly".

This message won't go away and Widevine will not be installed at all. I cannot browse and Netflix, Hulu, HBO Max etc.

I have tried unchecking and checking the <Play DRM-controlled content> under <about:preferences> which does not work.

I have also tried going to this (link)link and manually installing it but the webpage for my OS's .zip file won't load for me.

a similar problem in a browser installed with apt (but when running in safe mode, there is no problem, and manually disabling extensions and cleaning / refreshing firefox, does not help). When installing via snap, there is no such thing, but it does not suit me for work, since there is a problem with profiles.

I would be very grateful for your help in solving this problem.

When I open FF, the window only displays the top menus. If I click the Green dot it will then open full screen. Pressing the green dot once again only displays that 1 inch window. The problem does not occur in safe mode for Firefox. I turned off all of my extensions and turned off hardware Accelerator mode yet the problem still happens.

This just began yesterday and I don't believe I installed anything.

For anyone who uses Google Hangouts/Chat, they know that you can send screenshots to people and pictures you've taken. This used to work great, and as expected on Firefox, when you click on the image, it opens a new tab that shows the images full size (because in the chat box it's usually too small to be legible). Now, in a recent update (either 87 or 88), this functionality was broken. Now you can't click the image, it's as though there's no "link" to open the new tab. This works just fine in Microsoft Edge, so I know it's not a Google issue, but rather a Firefox browser issue.

Anyone know how to have this resolved, or to report the bug?

Hello, I have a really annoying problem with Firefox. Many times when I try to access a bank website or similar that I have saved as a favorite, Firefox hangs up and stops responding without indication as to what may be wrong. This can happen when I open Firefox and go to the site before any other or after viewing other sites first. I have to go to the windows task manager and stop the process. After about a minute or two, I can go back, open the browser and log in to the site without any problem.

I have the browser set not to remember history (which is exactly what I want) and using Bitdefender antivurus. I am not sure if this is a common occurrence or if there is a known fix. Problem is becoming annoying enough that I considering not using Firefox any more.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Thank you

Hello

My computer crashed two days ago. Luckily, I phoned HP help, had the computer refreshed, and miraculously everything reappeared and nothing was lost. Even, the other two browsers on my computer are back and running well. The only one exception was my Mozilla Firefox browser, which happens to be the one I use over 90% of the time, and most importantly , the only one that has my bookmarks. I have read the Mozilla help messages, and although it seems they suggest refreshing the Firefox browser, it seems to me the instructions are applicable only if I have access to it -- which I do not understand, since the point is that I have no access whatsoever to it when I click the icon on my desktop. I was thinking of downloading Firefox anew, but fear I may loose my bookmarks. I am not that consumer savvy and do not quite understand the details of what is suggested in the Mozilla Support page. The computer I use is a desktop HP Envy 700, 7 years old, and I have Windows 8.1. Can you help. Thank you.

So, i have the following interesting problem. I have a new laptop, brand and model mentioned above. Which is part of a domain in a small company. Other devices in the same domain don't have any issues and they use the same software on them, so i doubt it is a software based problem.

Now to the juicy bits: 1. Firefox 32Bit works fine. Absolutely fine. Was pre-installed by Fujitsu and then removed by me. 2. Installed the 64Bit Firefox 88.0.1, same version that was just uninstalled. 3. Firefox starts rather slow, does not open any websites, struggles to open the top menu bar, does not open settings at all. 4. Doesn't matter if i used a profile from my previous machine, or a fresh profile created on install or through the profile manager of Firefox.

Even manually deleted the whole Mozilla folder from %appdata% to see if any lingering data was the cause. Still, only the 32Bit version wants to work properly.

Any advice on how to troubleshoot the cause?

Microsoft has dumped this latest Upgrade on us users [19042.985], despite 1909 being good for another few months. There are lots of complaints, but the main one for FIREFOX - I hate EDGE - is that the pictures on MSN Homepage keep defaulting to a greyscale. The titles can be moused and the enclosed articles read. I can't find an answer, and shrink from asking THEIR Community, as the experts seem t be hibernating. Any ideas, please?

My MacBook Air is alerting a Trojan spyware alert with an error code in my Firefox browser. I ran malwarebytes and it did not detect any issues. I also opened safari and that ran without an error message so apple tech said to contact Firefox for support. Should I just delete and re-install Firefox or is this a more compromising issue?
