In my Windows 10 environment Firefox has been working pretty flawlessly forever (well, months anyway). But for several weeks now, periodically when I right-click on a link (context menu click, I have my mouse configured for the left hand) Firefox does the Left-click action. For awhile I thought it was just me, but it's happening too often to be that.

Does anyone know why this is occurring and if it is a know issue? And more importantly, how to fix it.

BTW, there is a similar post from 12/2022:

Right Click triggers Left Click also

I'm running a Tiny11 vm and I'm constantly crashing in firefox. I close all unnecessary tabs, yet seemingly at random firefox keeps crashing. Attached are some submitted crash reports. I'm mostly just browsing websites, and sometimes opening PDFs in firefox. The only other open programs I have are things like eM Client (email client), and file explorer.

I am getting repeated pop-up windows that say that Firefox has crashed, but Firefox is not running on my system. It is not in the Startups and I rarely use it.

Windows 10 Firefox v110.0

Is this malicious not related to Firefox? Does Firefox have a background task that is not visible on Task Manager? Or what?

I have Homes Assistant running on a Raspberry pi. Local network. This started with the 6/20/2023 update to FireFox. I login to Home Assistant "http://XXXXXXX/lovelace/jart". All good. I select "Setting". Opens same page "http://XXXXXXXX/config/dashboard". all good. I select "Add-ons" "http://XXXXXXXXX/hassio/dashboard" all good. I return to settings and make another (any) selection say "People" "http://XXXXXXXX/config/person". All good. I return to Setting and select "Add-ons" and "http://XXXXXXXXX/hassio/dashboard" and it never connects? Just spins? I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. I uninstalled and reinstalled Home Assistant. I can follow the same procedure with Chrome and do not have a problem. All sites opens. I have used Firefox since setting up the Home Assistant server, about 3 years.

I did manage to open it when it was first installed, but it immediately crashed when I tried importing my Chrome data. It now won't even open, just popping a window outline on the screen and immediately closing it. I can't even open troubleshooting mode, and I've tried the multiple ways listed to fix it.

Hi. I apologize ahead of time for this lengthy question but I don't know where to turn? My apartment was broken into and my Chromebook, multiple credit cards and a couple of notebooks were stolen. I signed out of chrome ,immediately and changed google accounts/ email account passwords. HOWEVER, person/persons accessed the Chromebook and my phone was hacked. I have NOW had multiple Google accs/ 2new phones and 1new number, BUT,STILL,there are devices logged into my phone. The phone heats up and the light for the webcam comes on intermittently.Also,the phone is behaving very strangely. I'll be using an App,and,when I close it,it will be totally diff( ie, I am using messages( and it will close to settings) I've had files and data in my drive "disappear" and,all of my security settings "just turn off". I have downloaded your browser and VPN, in the hope that browsing incognito will help. I DID pay for an ANNUAL Avast "Virus blocker/cleaner and VPN", last week,BUT,4days after, the Icon TURNED INTO a copy of my Google account icon,and,I entered some data,before realizing.The screen flickers on and off and the text is fuzzy. I can be doing something and it will take multiple screenshots, or take me to another app.Have you encountered something like this?I'm NOT TECHNICAL in the slightest,BUT,this phone isn't under MY control.I'm NOW only using it in "safe mode" with DND and AIRPLANE on.I removed my banking and medical apps because I'm certain it's not secure. The "VIRUS/SYSTEM" is such that 5-10mins after I login, the other devices do,also.The device ref is VERY similar to mine,so,all seems well until I scrutinize details. I'm worried because whoever is doing this,obv knows my address.I will be eternally grateful if you can help. Apologies again,but,it's a big problem and needed a big description. Many thx,Aileen( a Firefox/Mozilla convert)

Hey! New to mozilla support so sorry if this is a repeat ...

Problem - sometimes the browser window just closes ??

- On Windows 11 with all windows latest updates installed,

- with latest Firefox 115.01

- all graphics updates installed - all antivirus scans are clean

(Possible it is when doing Windows shortcut keys like ctl-? but I'm not sure.)

When I restart firefox the old tabs/links (history) are not restored making me think it 'closed' and cleared history.

Is there a way to see if this this is 1) an actual browser crash or 2) a log to check for why it closed ?

Thx!

I downloaded and installed the new version of Firefox a few days ago, and since then it has been running increasingly slowly; sometimes it takes several moments longer than usual to connect to a website, sometimes my cursor hangs when I'm typing. If I quit Firefox and relaunch, it functions normally, but then slows down again. I'm on a Mac running System 10.14.6, and I have a Dashlane extension mounted in the browser. Once I've engaged Dashlane, Firefox seems to slow down quickly, so I am wondering if the problem is partly the way the two are interfacing, or if there are other factors.

Chrome runs normally, as does Thunderbird--only Firefox seems to be struggling right now. Can you help?

Thanks!

For the past week, Firefox for Windows 10, v 114.0.2 (64-bit) has been automatically opening all downloads. If you go into the download window, all downloads say "opening in..."

I've already gone into about.config and changed browser.download.AlwaysOpenPanel to false and it still happens. What else do I have to do to get it to stop?

Thanks.

When browning some site will cause a Firefox to freeze, all UI stops working, if I try and reload the page nothing will load and if I try and close and reopen Firefox I get a zombie process that last for about a minute. Obviously this is with no ad dons or hardware acceleration and nothing is listed at about:crashes. The only useful tip I have comes from the command prompt. First when the freeze is first triggered I get the errors ``` MESA: error: Failed to query drm device. libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen MESA: error: Failed to query drm device. libEGL warning: egl: failed to create dri2 screen ``` and when I try and open it after a freeze and there is still a zombie Processes ``` [Parent 111218, IPC I/O Parent] WARNING: process 111455 exited on signal 15: file /build/firefox-RH6krf/firefox-115.0+build2/ipc/chromium/src/base/process_util_posix.cc:264

``` and finally when it kills the zombie processes ``` RunWatchdog: Mainthread nested event loops during hang:
--- CanvasManagerParent::Shutdown
ExceptionHandler::GenerateDump cloned child 111871 ExceptionHandler::SendContinueSignalToChild sent continue signal to child ExceptionHandler::WaitForContinueSignal waiting for continue signal... ``` the included images are what pops up when trying to open Firefox when it still has a zombie processes and when it kills the process
