Firefox always redownloads images, and always with a different request than the one displaying them. This frequently causes downloads to fail, or repeats large downloads. I have had this issue for years now. When I attemp to download an image, do not redownload it. Instead, save what was already downloaded. If you insist on redownloading it, then use the same request as was used to display it. There have been so many images I can see but that fail to download. It's incredibly frustrating and I was hoping someone would fix it but no one did so today I speak up. This affects desktop and mobile

Why is the icon of the bookmark constantly disappearing in the bookmark of PC world? I have repeatedly found that when I open the PC world page via this bookmark and some posts that this icon suddenly disappeared. The font of the bookmark remains and the sign is also functional but the icon is missing. With the DB browser I can restore the icon. But until the next opening of the PC world side, the game starts all over again. In Firefox 142.01 this is the only process. All other icons are stable. The icon always remains visible in my second browser Edge. I asked PC world. And they replied that everything is fine with their side. I therefore ask you to check that once. I use Adobe a lot to open pdf forms from business accounts online. Recently, when I click on the downloaded pdf, they will auto-open now, but I have to completely quit out of Adobe before a second pdf can be opened.

I thought it might be an Adobe issue, but the same thing happened with a different file type that does not use Adobe. I tried to open a downloaded picture (jpg) and could only open one, then close out of preview before opening a second picture. It is definitely a problem with the Firefox downloads and how they are being processed.

Is it safe to clear the Firefox(Android version) app data and caches from the device settings? I do clear both really often to free up space(some times even multiple times in a day), but i don't know if it can give problems... I don't care about my history and logins being lost since its expected, but i don't want the app to glitch, not updating or maybe lose security features or ending up with corrupted files or anything like that. Also, with the new update (142.0.1) a new look for the menu was added, i updated the app but i saw no difference, in the past when doing the clearing a new Firefox menu showed up, changes between clears(also, Firefox is my default browser, if it can help; also, could rebooting my phone after clearing data and caches give some problems?), i hope its not because of my frequent clears. Thanks to anyone who can help me figure this out, if any more info are needed i will be happy to tell you more about it. I don't know if im being paranoid or anything but better safe than sorry.

Hello Mozilla. Recently my wife and I have had a new experience with our bookmarks. When we display a list of bookmarks, part of the list runs off the page, so, we cannot see the complete list.

In the past, when we would request this list, if it was too long to display downward, it would then automatically shift upward, so that the entire list could be seen.

Has this feature been dropped or altered in anyway? Is there anything we can do to regain the feature?

We are using Ubuntu 24.04

As of a two days ago, passkey functionality in Firefox is not working (v142.0.1 on MacOS 15.6.1). I have a passkey setup with Google, and when I sign in and the popup should appear for the passkey, it no longer does. This also causes Firefox to become unresponsive and must be force-quit. Any solutions?

Hi guys, Had Firefox as network default browser for decades. Now I have a problem with my DNS pihole filter, firefox just goes around it. I've read countless articles on how to stop this, I've tried DoH 0 and DoH 5, I've placed a file policies.json in a distribution folder. I've tied everything I can find on the net. Nothing and I do mean nothing, had the slightest effect. Firefox goes around whatever I try.

I've spent many, many hours on this please tell me how to kill this, I'm forced to use another browser at the moment, which is painful.

All, most recently I'm having problems with uploading files from my PC to respective internet platforms. It started with file uploads to ChatGPT, whatever I tried, the upload stalled and ultimately failed. Second platform was Vimeo, same problem, file upload stalled and finally failed. Such problems do not occur when using Chrome as browser, or when using Firefox via my Android. Never had such problems before. Firefox runs on latest version 142.0.1, cache is empty and all cookies deleted. System details: Desktop PC, Win 10 Pro, Vers. 22H2, all updates included. Have the same problems on a different Desktop PC. Very much appreciate you feedback and ultimately solution of the problem.

At the end of each session, I ALWAYS delete my cookies and history. Unfortunately, I have been unable to do this. (At the moment, 2.9 kb remain.) Please advise as to how to accomplish this, and, if the problem happens again, how to remedy it.

Getting ready to replace my computer. Is there a way to take my Firefox bookmarks and passwords along with me. I know there are 2 profiles in different directories.

c:\users\jer\appdata\roaming\mozilla\firefox\profiles AND c:\users\jer\appdata\local\mozilla\firefox\profiles

Don't really know difference between roaming and local, except roaming is a lot bigger.

I doubt I could copy the whole profiles as they would contain information that is about current computer and wouldn't work on new computer. However, it seems that I have read or seen there are files within these profiles that just contain my bookmarks and passwords and they can be moved to another profile.

I just need to know the name of the files that hold his information.

Any help would be appreciated.

As you can see, the girl's face is normal in the preview, the transparency is good, but when I open the tab, the girl's face becomes cloudy. How to make it transparent? how to remove this turbidity?

I see the subject error message (with white X in red circle) EVERY TIME I update Firefox. Rest of message reads 'Make sure your temp folder is valid.'

What Temp folder is in use when Firefox is updating?? Update does complete but it is annoying to continually receive error message. There are more than 350 Temp or TEMP directories!!!

Anybody have knowledge of this error and / or how to resolve?
