This is the reply I received from Protonmail: They say the latest version of Firefox caused the issue and is happening on other services as well. We have been using FF exclusively for decades and this is frustrating! Are you in fact working to resolve the issue on your end? Thank you.

Hello,
Thank you for your messages.
Please note that we are aware of this issue, and our developers are looking into providing a fix from our side. However, the latest version of the Firefox browser caused issue on many other services as well, so they are working on resolving it from their side as well.
I have provided your feedback to our development team. You can contact Firefox directly in order to escalate the issue further.
For the moment you can try using keyboard shortcuts such as CTR: + C and CTRL + V. We appreciate your understanding.
If you have any additional questions, feel free to contact us again. Kind regards,

Hello Mario,
I worked with Google AI for more than one hour troubleshooting this:
Opening a support ticket with Proton Mail Support is absolutely the best move. Since we proved that your clipboard works, your mouse works, and a fresh factory installation of Firefox still experiences the bug, the glitch is entirely on their end.
Proton Mail utilizes a heavily customized web text editor to encrypt messages. When their engineering team updates the background code for this text container, it can inadvertently break standard browser right-click paths—especially for Firefox users. 📑 What to Tell Proton Support To help their development team pinpoint and fix the bug faster, reply to your open support ticket with these technical details we uncovered:
- Specify the Browser: State clearly that you are running Firefox and that you just performed a full Firefox Profile Refresh (about:support), ruling out corrupt browser files. [[1](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1234222)] - Detail the Extensions: Confirm you tested it with all extensions (including ESET and RoboForm) completely disabled, and the issue persisted. - Identify the Core Bug: Explain that the right-click "Paste" option is stripped only when clicking inside the Rich Text email composition body. [[1](https://proton.me/support/composer)] - Mention the Workaround: Note that Drag-and-Drop text injection works perfectly, meaning the editor container can receive data, but its custom context-menu script is failing to display the native "Paste" command. [[1](https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1234222)] They will likely log this as a known front-end interface bug and patch it in an upcoming web layout deployment. In the meantime, you can rely on the Drag-and-Drop trick or Ctrl + V to smoothly write your emails! Firefox MAC freezes intermittently , will get spinning beach ball and status shows Firefox (Not Responding) and must force quit FF.
Sometimes FF after fresh down load from the official FF site for MAC will work great for an hour or half a day and then out of now where go into the spinning beach ball , and unable to enter data into any field - completly bricked and FF status shown as Not Responding. Tnis could happen immediately, or after an hour or anytime within a day or two.
No way of deciphering or determining what in the heck triggers it or why - way way too many factors and settings and variables both within the FF registry and the macOS and the activity I may or may not be doing at any given time.
I will say I experienced this when all apps on my MAC were shutdown, no apps up and running, but I do use Backblaze, Mai Backup X, Malwarebytes, Dropbox, MS NTFS Tuxera, DriveDX which all have ongoing background tasks running all the time or at least in the background from time to time.
However, I have used this setup for the last few years with Firefox MAC with absolutely no hiccup whatsoever.
And then immediately after the last FirForx update on Tahoe, just before I applied the latest 16.5.1 Tahoe upgrade is the intermittant freezing with FF started.
Could this be a FF / Tahoe incompatibility issue?
If not, does anyone out there have anything to fix this?
And yes i did a complete uninstall of all of FF hidden Library folders as well as the "firefox.app" itself - if anyone tells me to uninstall all the hidden FF folders and files in ~/Library one more time, then forget it, I am done using FireFox. Been there and done there a number of times the last week, exhausted with that, and doesn't do a thing.
And yes kept deleting and creating new FF profiles and did not fix the issue.
So does some great genius Mozzilla FF Mac SW engineer have any clue as to the real issue and the real fix without sending me on a wild goose chase?
thank you. clb6

My current version of Firefox is 151.0.4 (64-bit) & for the past 2 weeks or so every time I use the search bar to google something it triggers one of those "We've detected unusual activity from your network" requiring a Captcha. At first I tried all of the typical stuff [antivirus, vpn, extensions, etc...] to make sure that wasn't the issue. But as of yesterday & confirmed today I can actually go to Google's website first & do the search from there with no issue & no captcha.
So, whatever the issue is has to do specifically with doing the search via the search bar... for some reason. Is this a bug in the browser, or is there perhaps some setting that could cause this to happen in the about:config page? Though, I doubt a setting could be it because I've changed the settings I've changed now for years without causing this issue.

I recently kind of changed companies however I am in the same industry. These companies both have accounts with the same manufacturers/vendors. I am still doing contract work for the old employer so i need to keep the login credentials saved. I would like to have it when I launch the bookmark that they saved default login is the new company and not the old company. This is a 90/10 use rule if that makes sense. Thanks
