My organization has an air-gapped development network in which we need to deploy an internally developed extension. We are attempting to do this via GPO with the latest version of Firefox ESR. We have been running into an issue where the extension is not being installed when the browser starts. After reviewing the distribution documentation for Firefox add-ons it appears that we have to submit the extension to be signed by Mozilla, the problem here is that our extension is on the air-gapped network and cannot be moved to an internet connected device per our clients policies.

I had read on this page page that Firefox ESR does allow unsigned extensions if you set `xpinstall.signatures.required` to `false` but that conflicts with the Add-on signing in Firefox support page that states: "Firefox Extended Support Release (ESR): Some versions allowed overrides, but most recent ESR releases also enforce signing."

So we appear to be at an impasse, we cannot have the extension signed and we are required to use the ESR version of Firefox (the Nightly and Developer versions are not allowed.) Is there anyway that we could selfsign the extension? Or bypass the requirement via GPO?

Windows 10 and cannot upgrade to 11. Firefox is current.

Pages began to open slowly so restarted computer, which fixed that issue but the bookmarks (happens often), Bitwarden & Instapaper icons were missing from the toolbar. I managed to retrieve the bookmarks but while attempting to restore the icons, the puzzle icon disappeared, which, after many hours I did manage to retrieve.

The boxes that open after right-clicking on the gear or puzzle icons do not match what the multiple online help suggestions show (I cannot take a screenshot of what I see in my drop down menus). I have deleted and reinstalled Instapaper and Bitwarden to no avail. Multiple suggestions from Bitwarden emails did not work and they suggested that it may be a Firefox issue.

Also, videos will not load but will load on Microsoft Edge.

Love Firefox, and like Avast software. Wanted to try Avast AntiTrack Premium but Avast wants me to make it an add on extension to my browser. Mozilla told me this- just want to know if it's safe. Hello support, I don't want to be an hassle to you neither pose useless questions but this is my last resource before leave my problem unsolved, so i really hope you can help on this. As per subject I am trying to install add on GMX mailchecker 6.5.5 to Firefox release 95.0.1 (which i like most and don't like to change) but any time I try i get the error "the add on appears to be corrupted" - this happens also when I try to install themes (but it is not a big problem to me i like also your standard design) and any thing else. Now I switched to a gmx mail account also because i saw the option to have an add on for firefox (saying to be compatible with version from 46 onward) but I cannot solve how to install it correctly. When loaded as a temporary add on in debug mode it works really well but then on standard mode i cannot get to have it working. So far i have tried to -reinstall Firefox -install add on from a file -disable mandatory signature in advenced configuration -disable malware scanning while installing the addon BUT none of them worked in my situation. I believe there is an easy way of having it working and seeing it from the debug mode it seems also well integrated SO where am I wrong? Could you please advice me on how to solve this problem I am facing? (as a feedback for you: if you wonder why I want to stay with FFox 95 it is because I don't need ai features and dislike emoji ... otherwise your browser is excellent -still have a firefox 1 executable in my hard drive... still open it sometimes... ) Best regards, Filippo

Hi. I just switched to Windows Defender for antivirus. On Google Chrome I had to add an extension so Defender will work with Chrome to detect malicious websites.

On the eicar.org website the test virus is stopped on the Microsoft and Chrome browsers, but not with Firefox.

How do I set up Defender to work with Firefox?

I used to have the button right visible on my Toolbar and I used it often to toggle dark and light views of websites. Now it's disappeared off the toolbar. When I click the jigsaw piece button for Extensions it only shows a few, hardly all of my installed extensions. Only if i select Manage Extensions under the jigsaw will I see all my extensions, so then I can find Dark Reader and toggle its status on or off. That's an awkward multi-step process compared to just having the button showing. So how can I get the button back?
