We are looking to mass deploy Firefox x64 for Windows to all staff in our organization, using SCCM. I know you can set a default home page in mozilla.cfg for all users, including future users who don't yet have a profile on the computer Firefox is installed on. Is there a similar option so I can configure Firefox to always show the menu bar for all users? Preferably, another line I can add to mozilla.cfg so that I can easily copy that to all our machines? Thanks.

Hello. I'm a MAC user, I've been using Firefox on desktop + the app for years, but I don't understand why this happens.

When using other browsers I have to click somewhere to close all active sessions but Firefox just does it automatically for me, and it's... very annoying, only I use this computer so I don't need such thing. It's there a way to turn that off? Because I couldn't find it.

And to be clear, it doesn't close my sessions when I "close" the Firefox tab, it's when I exit the application as a whole.

And yes, when there IS an issue and Firefox closes itself, Firefox does open my old tabs again, which is great, but the logging out thing? not so much, since I use authentication apps too.

Every time I log into Thunderbird it want to compact my email. I DO NOT WANT THIS! many dont. I have searched for help and everything online says to go to Tools>GENERAL>Advanced options. I do not have any of those. How do I turn off this annoying popup in 102.12.0 (64-bit) version. This is simply insane why this is so difficult. If no one likes it why have it hidden away??

My new - and fully oprative - Gmail account is not correctly connected to my Thunderbird ver.102 client. My name@gmail.com folder is established, including (as of yet) an Inbox sub-folder. Something in setup is failing to allow me to complete the installation.

Now, when Tbird starts - and regardless of what I was doing before shutdown -restart is instanly followed by a Gmail logon screen. Which, when I try to login, fails and invited me to enter a recovery number which is then ignored with an invitaton to open an account. There is probably something wrong in Tbird settings, but having (hopefully) followed all help I can't see what.

Any suggestions where to look?

Please suggest how to remove the empty spaces that I marked in the screenshot. Especially confusing is the large wasteland in the left column (Subject). There should be a replied/forwarded arrow, but I know for sure that it takes up 2 times less space than this empty space in the screenshot.

I also see a strange arrow in the column to the left (I think it's Senders).

I am looking for a way to prevent disabling an addon.

The addon is secondary, but for the sake of completeness: it's about the web blocker LeechBlock.

It was intended as an alternative to the web blocker ColdTurkey, but unlike ColdTurkey, which does not work for Linux systems, there is no password protection to prevent disabling and/or uninstalling the addon. Thus, it is quite easy to get distracted even though you don't really want to.

does anyone know a solution?

I'm new to Firefox, usually in other browser, like Chrome and Edge, when I use the selector to choose element and click on it, it will bring back the console but it doesn't seems to happen in Firefox. ( I'm using separate window for the console )

Is there a way to view the primary password before entering it? If I'm unable to see the password while typing, or after I type it, I'm unable to know if my password is being rejected because I mistyped or I'm trying the wrong password.

I made a theme on Firefox Colour and the image that I put under the 'custom backgrounds' tab isn't appearing as the background. Instead it uses the Background Colour from the Custom Colours menu. How would I fix it, so that the image is displayed behind the tabs? (My settings are in the images below.)

Is there a way to color or OTHERWISE CHANGE the appearance of the header row above the messages so that the header row is clearly different in appearance from the message list?

I have Thunderbird 102.12.0 installed in Windows 11. I'm not a computer expert so the simplest and easiest solution is what I'd like. Thanks.

I've installed Debian 12 with Firefox 102.12.0esr (64-bit) from scratch instead of Debian 11. Just after it I noticed that all add-ons I used for a long time do not work anymore.

When I go to Menu > Add-ons and themes, I see all add-ons enabled. However, all of them do not work, and they even do not display their icons on the Firefox toolbar as they did before.

A couple of examples of add-ons that do not work: - Enhancer for YouTube - ImTranslator: Translator, Dictionary, TTS

I run Firefox via Firejail sandbox (like I did for years without any problems). All add-ons and settings came to my new system via Firefox sync. I tried to run Firefox directly (without Firejail) and nothing changed, add-ons still do not work. Also, I logged out of my Firefox sync account and reinstalled add-ons on Firefox running directly (without Firejail) and it did not help.

Appreciate your help - how can I enable add-ons in Firefox?

How do I turn off the red number that appears in my email icon? Sometimes I come back to my computer & it is showing 50 or maybe 100 as being the times it has alerted me to an email in my inbox. Worse still is when I have no emails to collect it labours for ages trying to download something & it then stops but has an alerts that I have mail to collect.Drives me mad. TIA

Hi. Interestingly, Firefox doesn't have an option to show only the saved sites on the homepage. But rather messes it up with the sites i've visited before. It's a really simple issue but is really annoying me. Nearly every other browser has this but not Firefox. Also i've seen a lot of people complaining about the same issue here but they all seem archived/closed. I don't think it would be hard to implement such a basic feature.

on my windows 11 book3 samsung laptop, I configured Thunderbird and in setting i enabled spell check. But is there any settings avl like "ignore caps word" kind, It is quite annoying that many caps word keep repeating for spell check and taking a lot of time to complete spell check

Is it possible to disable the transition that is triggered by pressing f11 or clicking the "Display the window in full screen" button in the application menu. I am referring to the animation where the toolbar slides upward, not the fade to black animation.
