A few weeks ago I saw an Mozilla ad for a new Mozilla software product that cleaned up your PC and made it run better. The price was around $125.00 (I don't remember that exact price). It said that I would receive an email from Mozilla with download instructions. it's been a few weeks and I have not gotten any email. Does anyone know if Mozilla offers any such software or did I get scammed? I'm pretty good about seeing scams but Ive used Firefox and Mozilla for years and trust them. Maybe that's why I wasn't as careful as I should have been.

I have been running using for many years and used to love it. Somehow, my Sent message folder got corrupted and now I'm having unbearable problems with Thunderbird. TBird now regularly stops working for 5 to 15 minutes and my computer is unusable during this time. It creates multiple Sent folders (Sent-1, Sent-2, Sent-3, etc.) each 15 GB in size, so if I don't regularly delete them, my hard drive fills up. I've posted before about this and got some help, but the problem isn't resolved.

Is there someone/some organization that offers personalized support, someone who I could talk to by voice and/or Zoom, for support? I'm willing to pay, if needed.

I just downloaded Thunderbird for my Win PC. Win 10 Home, 64 bit. I have gmail downloading or linked to my PC. I then created some folders in Inbox then went up to the Tools menu, Message filters.

Did the Filter name - Manually Run - Getting New Mail

Match all of the following: From - Contains - Amazon.com

Move Message to - Amazon on XXXX@xxxx.com

Click OK

Back on Message filters window the "Run Now" is light gray? I can't press it and the Choose Folder only allows Trash or Outbox, no other box. Filters for: Local Folders

Not crazy about reinstalling as it took 2 days to download all the files from gmail.

I did everything correctly (I think) so I'm not sure why it isn't working.  I restarted my computer and same thing.   Any help?  Bueller?

I have A LOT of problems with FF since the last couples of updates. It started around two months ago and after one of the updates (and FF has constant updates which is pretty annoying) the browser immediately starting getting really slow and buggy. The browser keeps crashing constantly, is slow, loading websites end in "network cannot be found" notices and you need to reload pages all the time to get them to load, videos play in the background by themselves on saved tabs without being activated or started.... The redesign of the menu some time back, btw, have gone to worse as it's now more difficult to find the active tab than before.

I've followed all instructions to try and resolve it and nothing works. I have no virus or downloads on the system so this is not the cause. Plugins activated or not activated makes no difference. Changing settings in FF to whatever suggested makes no difference, using about: to change settings makes no difference.

The browser has really turned almost unusable.

Dear All,

I'm moving away from proprietary platforms and am setting up Thunderbird to manage my calendars. My calendars are hosted on a Synology and synced via caldav.

Sync seems OK, but interface-wise, I cannot find a way to have my events showing their location, directly from the calendar view (even daily).Clicking on the event, the location shows, but I really need to see them directly from the day or week view (I'm a teacher, so at a glance, I need to know in which class my next lesson is).

Is there a way to set this up, or a feature to be requested?

So I have 2 screens. I put Youtube tutorials in my rightmost screen and have unreal engine open in my leftmost screen. I use my keyboard keys to pause the videos so I can type stuff or make changes as I follow along tutorials. Each and every time I hit pause/play this popup appears in the top-left of my leftmost screen showing a picture of the video that I have open (why this redundancy....I have it full screen already on screen), it shows a huge title of the vid (again with the redundancy I don't need another title of a vid that I am watching to keep appearing), it shows a rewind/play/fast forward which is really really poorly thought out.........we have those keys on our keyboard this just is more stuff blocking our view. All of these things block out the top left stuff in my window (file/edit/asset/window/tools/help)...its so large it blocks out all tabs open in this window...its so large it even blocks out part of my viewport and other areas in that vicinity. Now all of these things it blocks out are important and I need to use them. When I pause vid I am immediately needing to use things in this space. Then you turn it off using the solution: media.hardwaremediakeys.enabled = false and your buttons also stop working. So now you cannot pause/play without mousing off screen to YouTube and manually restarting.

So my first and most important question is how to HIDE not disable the use of the buttons associated with this.

My second question that I really want to put in all caps with expletives and maybe copy and paste the question like 5000000 times so that the amount of frustration this causes on a constant basis with every workflow that I need to use vids as part of it...is WHYYYYY?!?!?!

Ait now that last bit was for flair but I'm not even really joking with that one.

I am using the web api for videogame controllers to make a web remote controller for a robot, i use django to host the server. When i access the ip of the Django server in firefox i get errors like: getGamepads is not a function or errors while trying to get gamepads from the navigator, but when i access through chrome this does not happen. These errors only happen while accessing through the django server, when i access through the local file or other pages in the web that use gamepad api there is no issue. Because of that i think that it has something to do with firefox tight security restrictions on http sites, but i can't find a way to grant permission to my page to work properly, i am willing to compromise in security since it's just going to be used locally

I normally open messages in tabs under exactly one circumstance: when I right-click on a message and explicitly open it in a tab.

I've found that (until I changed the handling of PDFs to "Save file") any PDFs that opened using Thunderbird's preview function would reopen if I closed and relaunched Thunderbird. This is not desired behavior.

I will also note that if I open Settings, it opens in a tab, rather than a separate window. This is neither expected nor desired (and my natural reaction is to click the close button on the window, closing Thunderbird, because "Settings" is something I expect to be in a window, not a tab. And that, too, reopens if I reopen Thunderbird.

And worst of all, those tabs that shouldn't be reopening at all are reopening in front of the main tab.

There was an extension called "Thunderbird-DontRestoreTabs," that would do exactly what I want, but that was made obsolete when the underlying extension technology was deprecated, so it is of no use in 115.9.0.

How can I keep a TB address book and my Android smartphone contacts (the ones on contacts.google.com, NOT Gmail ones) in sync, so any addition to one will show up on the other too?

(My email clients are of course TB on my Windows 10 desktop, and a downloaded app [NOT the standard Google one] on my Android smartphone. My email server is an ISP's IMAP server [NOT a Google server:-]. On my Android phone I use the regular Google "contacts" program, which correctly synchronizes to https://contacts.google.com. And I'm using the 64-bit version of TB 102.13.0.)

The vast majority of the recipes I can find do not work at all, probably either because they assume Gmail is somehow involved (it's NOT), or because https://contacts.google.com does not offer the expected services (as Gmail does), or because they do their job once and quit, rather than keeping the two lists in sync in perpetuity.

The recipe that seemed to do the best didn't involve either TB or Android at all, but rather involved going to Windows 10 Setup->Accounts->Email and Accounts->Add an account->Google. Unfortunately every time I clicked on the big 'G', it would appear to be doing something for a while (10 seconds?), but then simply quit with no error message and no changes to the list of accounts (i.e. the desired new Google account was _not_ created.)

so, when I opened a site, Firefox recommended to me that I import the necessary login data from another browser... However in consequence it imported EVERYTHING from the Chrome browser. I deliberately like to keep data separate from browsers, aside from login data. My Chrome browser has way more bookmarks, in other words, my Firefox browser gets cluttered by this and kind of indistinguishable. I don't like that.

I still have an installation of Firefox on an other system that's just a few months old that should be fine. Can I determine the direction of the sync, whether it downloads or uploads data? This could solve my problem. Alternatively, may there be different save states to choose from (although this may the same question)?

I use the lastest version of Thunderbird and i got a very strange problem. I never had this problem before.

I have 3 different email (all POP3) and all of this do the same. Everytime when i write an email to anybody and i attach anything (like pdf, or docx) the program needs to 3-4 sec to get ready attach (all of the 3 account has this problem). The attachment size not non-influential, because 200kb and 12MB are needs the same time. I deleted the history, cookies, everything. The PC is very good, i5-10500 / 8GB DDR4 / 256GB NVMe SSD / Windows 11. I tried to disable the virus protection (ESET NOD Internet Security), but did not bring improvement.

Do you have any suggestion for the repair?

Since I updated my MacBook to macOS Sequoia, I have no access to local network pages (except 127.0.0.1, localhost and 192.168.0.1) - an "Unable to connect" error appears. Immediately after the first launch of Firefox, a request for local network permissions appeared, which I accepted, but it didn't help. I performed all the actions from this article, and also used the terminal command reset All approval status for org.mozilla.firefox and Firefox disappeared from the privacy settings. While a request for access to the microphone and camera reappeared after restarting the browser, no question about the local network appeared. The problem only occurs in Firefox (version 128.5.2esr) and does not appear in other browsers (checked in: Firefox Developer Edition, Firefox Nightly, Safari and Google Chrome). macOS 15.1.1 (24B91).

Tbird tries to save a lengthy email as a draft, I assume after a certain about of time passes, but fails to do that and I have to keep acknowledging the failed draft save in order to continue.

I never save drafts and don't want it doing this. It just started doing this after the latest update. I have four accounts and it only does it with one account, although I don't write time-consuming emails with the other accounts, so maybe it would do the same.

This account has another problem, too. It doesn't save a sent email in the sent folder for this account. The other three accounts all do, and all the settings look the same. Again, this happened after the latest update. I'll have to change email clients if this isn't resolved as I need to retain copies of sent email from this account. That would be sad for me, as I've used TBird for probably 15 years or thereabouts.

At the moment My head is not thinking as it shouldn't be and is all over the place . My signup for the original orders was accompanied with the payment for 1 years subscription. then I was blocked by yourselves(which I managed to clear) Then you kept sending me a message that was the same as the previous one I got so fed up I paid again.But the message started again and eventually I paid again. I managed to get a contact address and contacted you by email. All I can do in the short term is to Get the details of payments and send it to you and hope we can sort it out.

The password program does not display the entire page when I signed in and using the program. The program works perfectly using other browsers(Edge / Chrome), it's only on Firefox that I have this problem. I've worked with the password people and they can't fix the problem either.

I've attached a screen shot of problem. The box with the red bar at the top should also have a red bar box at the bottom, bit all you can see is a sliver of red at the bottom.

Firefox inhibits power management, causing the screensaver to not activate. This happens when I am not running a video. It happens if I open a website that has video but I do not run the video. If I turn off Firefox the screensaver works. Screensaver is set to activate at 5 minutes. Power Management is set to turn off screen when inactive for 7 minutes. Linuxmint 21.3. and on another computer - Linuxmint 22.0

Hi, first time writing here so I don't know what to do or expect. I recently received a warning by Firefox that as of March 14, 2025 Firefox will end support for Windows 8 (8.1 and below too) and that the last version compatible with Windows 8 is Firefox 115ESR (up to which? Before in Settings Firefox wanted to update from 115.0.3 to 115.0.3ESR now it says 115.1ESR - is this still ok for Windows 8? Are all 115 versions ok or not? Please help because I'm not a computer person, at all, with far too many gaps). Also, what happens after March 14, 2025? Will I be able to keep using Firefox 115ESR version even if I won't be getting any more updates or not? Also, I have extensions (4 ad blockers+Ghostery+VideoDownload helper) which keep updating and the warning said that extensions may not work properly anymore - so I wonder if you know if these above mentioned will in fact be affected or not, because I don't know whether to update them after March 14, 2025 or not because I'm not sure how to go back to a previous version should they not work. Too, I would like to say that you suggest switching to a newer Windows ver. (10 or above) but not everyone really wants to for one reason or another. Personally I find myself fine with Win 8 so far and don't like Win 10 while Win 11 may be too much for my old computer and I cannot afford to buy another. Also I would not attempt to upgrade to Win 10 without help (considering that others more expert had difficulties making it work or reverting back to Win 8) help that I do not have, at all - that's why I'm here now, and I don't really understand how this works either, so... Anyhow, reading on that warning page that after March 14, 2025 you would reconsider your position regarding support for Win 8.1, 8 and below (and knowing also that Chrome and Edge have ended their support - effectively leaving users stranded or forcing them to upgrade to a Windows version unwillingly) I would like to plead with you NOT to follow their example and help us, your supporters, keep using Firefox (which you say is for the people) - like I said many of us have good reasons for keeping on using Win 8.1 or below, so won't you please, PLEASE help us keep Firefox as our browser so that we too may keep using Internet? I know technology goes forward and staying behind makes all more difficult but not all can afford the same things and since I have found that there are a few of us yet I am asking to PLEASE not abandon us as others have done (leaving us to manage the best we can) but consider our plight (I know it might be a challenge for the engineers and developers but surely you can find a solution at least to allow us to keep using Firefox). I have followed the instructions, 'How to move Thunderbird data to another computer' and all seemed to work well copying from old computer (Win10) until I came to save to a USB drive to Paste into the new computer (Win11). I then got an error message indicating: Inbox too large -9.02GB nstmp too large - 4.5GB Sent too large - 7.3GB

I am not sure whether all my accounts were being moved or just the most-used one which is probably the source of the error message.

Is there a way to copy the files mentioned seperately and the paste them into the new installation after deleting the content before going through the procedure again? It does look as though the process failed as following the paste, there are no accounts in the Win11 computer, just the basic install 'awaiting setup'. You may have another solution - hope so - and thanks in advance.

Hi, since I returned to Thunderbird (~5 months), every time I open the program it freezes for at least one minute before becoming responsive.

I have a gaming rig and I don't use any add-on so I cannot figure out why it happens. I'm available for any log sharing as this has happened for months and the following solutions only worked once (as with a restart everything returned unresponsive): - delete startup cache; - run Thunderbird on safe mode; - delete the profile and re-log on everything.

Current setup: - OS version: Windows 11 - RAM: 16GB - Thunderbird version: 115.2.0
