I've been using Firefox on Linux since it was Nautilus. Currently running EasyOS Linux Daedalus and Excalibur on different Lenovo ThinkCentre Tiny Core i3-8100t boxes and different drives: A good Samsung SSD and two good flashdrives. 32G new RAM installed on each box. I've been using these boxes for over a year. For the last month or so, ever since updating to v. 146 my tabs have been crashing like crazy! I don't normally have more than 10 tabs open at once. But now, as soon as I open a 5th tab it crashes.

I'm running Top to watch CPU and RAM usage. I see nothing unusual. I've rebooted. Disabled all add-ons and run in Troubleshoot mode. Tabs still crash. My only add-ons are uBlock Origin, Temporary Containers and Dark Mode. It happens whether I have hardware acceleration turned on or off. I don't know what else to try. at present it is 32bit Llnux Firefox ChaletOS. It appears it wants 64bit Linux but every time it only allows me access to 32bit version which tells me is out of date. What is happening?

While playing chess at lichess.org, browser power management inhibit messaging to the system gets stuck on its current status. That is, if power management is inhibited by media playing on another tab while I play a game, it will get stuck in the inhibited state. If power management is uninhibited while I play (no media playing), it will get stuck in the uninhibited state. This persists until the browser is restarted even if all tabs are closed.

I don't believe it to be a system issue, as the problem clears as soon as the browser is closed. Chrome based browsers do not exhibit the behavior for me, but I tried a Firefox fork (LibreWolf) and it has the same issue. I don't experience this issue at any other website I visit.

Only certain areas of lichess.org cause this behavior, primarily playing a game against a human opponent. I tried progressively blocking media and script requests to narrow down offenders, but I always break site functionality before I can pinpoint anything.

I'm not so much looking for a solution (although that would be great) as I am troubleshooting advice. Is there any way to narrow down exactly what it is about this specific website that is causing the issue?

Firefox has been crashing regularly for a full day now. I have one profile with multiple extensions, and a fresh profile that is meant to test firefox without any. With this new, "clean-slate" profile with none of my extensions installed, I still get repeated crashes. It is getting in the way of my ability to work- it happens even in Troubleshoot mode, even though I could not confirm any hardware issues prior to this.

Will I need to delete the extenstion-filled profile entirely before going forward? Is there an update I need to install, or anything else I should do myself? Should I provide a list of my extensions?

Since I updated to Firefox 141.02 I have not been able to play videos on Paramount+ or Netflix. I get an error on the top that says the Widevine plugin has crashed on both streaming services. I have checked that the plugin is on and there are no updates. I am on Ubuntu 24.04. Video on YouTube plays as normal

i recently switched to zorin os from windows 11 and i noticed my firefox data was gone (despite being signed in + syncing my passwords) could it be my wifi? an unrecognized device? its the same laptop + network so idk what

I have lost my SEND button. I have read several previous responses to this question, but following the solutions offered does not get the purported result. I don't get a Menu Bar after Toolbars. what if this translation could be run a standalone tool, command, or you call an api to translate something locally?

then we would be able to translate documents, mail, .. maybe just in html and plain text (with or without markup) format

If I'm not mistaken, between FF146 and FF147 it appears the location of the profile directory has changed. It was:

   /home/<user>/.mozilla/firefox  

and now is

   /home/<user>/.config/mozilla/firefox

Is that correct?

youtube has failed to open fr 2 weeks now, it was working well before but on opening it of recent, it displayed this message below till now yet other tabs open well and my internet connection is stable
