Hi,

I just cannot find any information on how Thunderbird designers see the Threads / Threading features to be used. How would I use it ? What are my (individual) choices for configuration ? etc.

The only info I can find is : [how to manage and turn on/off the feature].

...and of course lots unhappy user voices across the forums.

So: How would I use it ? What are my (individual) choices for configuration ? etc. Please link the respective Mozilla resource (blog, help, user design doc, ... whatever).

Ah, to start with, a description of how the feature is meant to behave, can be a start. (Sorry, I was just too stupid to find that)

My email window changed and I don't know how. The 4th column after - date / subject / correspondent being the "Reading Pane" is no longer visible. "Message List Header" doesn't show in settings and neater is table view showing I'm aware of a item at the bottom that can be dragged up but it covers the list of folders.

For some reason (accidental key stroke?) one of my email account's folders are no longer arranged alphanumerically. How can I reset the order to alphanumerical? I can't find a menu item or setting to do this. Thanks

I am looking to archive old folders from mail addresses that I don't use anymore, but don't want to delete the folders. And once those are gone- I would like the rearrange the order of the folders. This second one seems like it should be easy but I am having trouble finding how to do that. Thank you

I have lost the indicator in the folder pane showing which folder I'm in. It used to have a small color tab in the folder pane on the left hand side. Indicating that the folder was selected. Any ideas to get it back? Thunderbird 140.3.1esr (64-bit)

I am having trouble setting up an email signature with HTML in Thunderbird mobile. I only have the option of a text signature. Is this the only option, or am I doing something wrong?

When I select emails to move to another folder, Thunderbird 143.0.1 (64-bit) will not show me the number of emails I have selected.

I have tried every 'online' fix out there, and none of them seem to work.

Can someone please help me?

A lot of times I have to look at a set of github notifications about the same PR or task. In order to get enough context it would be better if the tread preview contained a few lines of the content each rather than just one line or the subject. Opening them is cumbersome. Is it possible to re-configure or would this need to be a new feature? I cut the image off on the left an right, to hide usernames and so on, but this shows how the thread summary only has one single line per message.

PLEASE put the format options back into the email task bar! My formatting needs to be done on a message by message basis. It is time consuming and counterproductive to have to go to settings each time. No matter what I tried in settings, I was not able to get Formatting back into the message task bar. At minimum, I need font, size, list and color options back in the message task bar. PLEASE HELP!

this morning i had to add a new email account. it added fine and it works, but i use the unified view for my 5 email accounts. all others show up in this view, but the new account is separate, and i cannot get it to show up in this view. it remains separate at the bottom of the pane. and has its own sent folder as well. how do i get this account included in unified view?
