Issue 1 faced on both desktop and mobile: If I go from one site to another, the previous site is able to embed tracker in it. Example: 1) Go to territorial.io . 2) through the ublock origin extension, see that there are no trackers or connection to third party. 3) now go to reddit.com . 4) In url type territorial.io and press enter. now check ublock and notice that reddit tracker is there. 5) Most concerning is that even search engine does that. for example go to duckduckgo and type territorial. click on the link and the duckduckgo tracker will be there. The "privacy respecting" search engine embeds its tracker to a shit ton of websites clicked through it. Not an expert but doesn't this violate something like same origin policy?

Issue 2 faced at least on mobile: private browsing means all cookie and stuff is deleted when the private session is closed, but: for example: 1) go to private mode. 2) go to monkeytype.com. 3) reject or accept the cookie. 4) close the browser. now it should be wiped but 5) open browser (private tab opens by default) 6) go to monkeytype.com again. a lot of times it will not ask for the cookie banner. 7) close the browser and go there again. 8) now it will ask again. I have noticed similar behavior in a lot of websites, where they remember who I am. But as soon as I open the browser and close it once, the cookie/session is truly wiped. This does not happen every time, but a loooot of time.

Thank you.

P.S. why the hell is this website using googletagmanager and sentry??? use something like https://plausible.io/ if you have to. sentry themselves use https://plausible.io/

I'm having problems with a website constantly asking me to accept cookie permissions. It happens on some other sites occasionally, but this particular site is one that I use each day.

When I visit the site I get the cookie permissions box. I click accept all cookies. No matter how many links I click I am presented with the box yet again. It doesn't happen with Chrome, Edge or Brave.

Every time I try to log in to gmail I receive this message: We've detected a problem with your cookie settings. Enable cookies Make sure your cookies are enabled. To enable cookies, follow these browser-specific instructions I've tried enabling cookies in Mozilla. Apparently I'm doing something wrong because I'm still getting the same message from google.

We are having a problem with Kaiser Permanente’s website. The problem occurs randomly and when it occurs we cannot sign in to our account on the website. We get a “redirect error”.

We can fix the problem but comes back again after a while. To fix it we go to Settings / Privacy and Security / Cookies and Site Data / Manage Data. Under manage data we enter Kaiser in the search box and then delete the website.

Is there a way (a settings change) to fix this problem in Firefox or is it a Kaiser website problem?

BTW.. the same problem also occurs on Chrome, just not as frequently.

I maintain application that uses OWIN Microsoft library for authentication. It uses .AspNet.Cookies to pass auth information. For unknown reasons I see that Firefox 127 rejects that cookie. I've tried with SameSite Lax/None/Strict and Secure param but no results. Previous versions and other browsers ( Chrome, Edge Safari ) woks fine. Any idea ?

Recently, I cleared the cookies and site data from my browser as I'd noticed they were taking quite of lot of space on my harddrive. I thought clearing them would just reset them, but it looks like they were completely wiped instead.

Now, the browser never remembers any login information, so I have to connect to every site I use everytime I open my computer. It's troublesome when some of them have double verification and I have to go through the trouble of checking my email and entering a code everytime. The websites don't ask me to enable cookies again, so I don't know how to make them remember my informations again.

Is there a way to re-enable cookies, or have the websites ask me to enable cookies again?
