Hello! It seems Thunderbird emails are suddenly being 'threaded'. It is causing great confusion in my office.

I need to see each email from a person separately in order to find them easily and also to reply to each one at the time it is received.

Can someone please explain in very simple non-techy jargon:- a) How I 'unthread' messages already threaded AND b) How I stop any new ones being threaded in the first place.

Now in v 150, I can no longer modify the tools in the reading pane. Used to be able to but it seems to have disappeared. Of course layout is modifiable but spacing out the tools (so that I don't hit the wrong button in error) or turning some off is no longer an option. The More|Customize does not do much for what I want. Thoughts?

I want my emails to be grammatically correct and currently everything uses the inch and foot indicators instead of quotation marks and apostrophes.

Due to muscle menu or not needing to think about it. Split should either be near the bottom of the context menu or you should be able to toggle it in settings. The amount of times I have gone to click a link to open in a new window only to split the view is driving me crazy.

Please forgive me if this question was already answered and that I might have accidentally overlooked that answer.

I'm running Firefox 144.0 (64-bit) under Debian 13 (linux).

I want to configure Firefox to never restore any previous session when it starts up, irrespective of how Firefox was last exited.

Even if a running Firefox session was externally killed via some sort of system command or because of a reboot, I never, never, never, never, never, never, never, NEVER (!!!) want it to restart in any previous session.

I ALWAYS (!!!) want Firefox to launch with its default start page, no matter what.

I tried all of the suggestions that I have found on line about how this might be accomplished, but with each one of them, there are cases where the previous session was restored.

I repeat, I do NOT (!!!) EVER (!!!) want the previous session to be restored, under any circumstances.

Is there a way to accomplish this?

When uploading files with Firefox, I click the upload button, and the file browser window appears to upload files.

For as long as I can remember, it always defaulted to the last folder location that I uploaded a file, but just a few days ago, it stopped working, and always defaults to my home folder.

How can I make the upload window pop up, default to the last uploaded location? My OS is Linux Mint Cinnamon.

The automated email from one sender states in the Inbox summary that the email client does not support HTML (TB app for Android). Presumably the message format is changed accordingly. I don't see a setting for incoming email formatting. Can you help? Inbox summary view and partial view of opened message below.

I have two questions: 1. Do you find Thunderbird release [version number missing] better than ESR? Could you share your opinion?

It seems faster and applies all changes more quickly.

I will test it sometime if 32-bit and 64-bit versions are available simultaneously. I have no idea what kind of channel that would be.

Problem/Question:

In Thunderbird release 64-bit POP3, the font changes to blue for every second email (receipts). Can you tell me how to display every email in black? It's only the second email in the inbox that's displayed in blue (receiving emails). When composing, everything looks black. What do I need to change?

Question 2: Regardless of whether it's 32-bit or 64-bit, and whatever channel, I see updates to the latest version. The program itself has an option to view older updates, but everything is white. I only see white and nothing else. Is this intentional? I can't see the update, even though it's current?

With the latest update, this very annoying THREADS appeared, and I cannot go back to the original format for individual emails in their correct chronological order. I do not like this format, and if I can't go back to the original, then I will be finding an alternative email program - that is how annoying this change has been to me.

I put the URL in there and it does not retain it and use it as signature image. It is a jpg. It browses in a URL on my browser and loads fine but T/B refuses to allow it.

Suggestions ?

Upgraded from `102.15.1` (deb) to `140.9.1esr` (flatpak).

Now for all my Imap folders the default action (double-click) is `Edit Draft` instead of `Open`. This is confirmed by right-clicking and having `Edit Draft Message` in bold at the top of the list.

How can I fix it?

- imported old profile with `⁝` -> `Tools` -> `Import`

- found https://support.mozilla.org/gl/questions/1364428 and tried the addon it recommended but none of the imap folders were flagged as draft.

I have tried to set up a table in Thunderbird but the column width is much too big.

How can I reduce the column width, please?
