Your latest request for donations has evidently come with a forced upgrade which I did not authorise. I have been happily using an older version of TB because it supports my add-ons and themes. Now because of your uninvited intrusion they no longer work. Furthermore it seems that I can no longer download an older version that supports my requirements. NOT HAPPY!

Hello I recently downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird for Mac operating system (and made a donation!) and today I experienced something I have never seen before. A large number of my sub-folders have duplicate names but there is nothing in those folders. Years and years of email messages are seemingly lost.

Please advise as to how I should proceed to restore my email to the way it was working before I downloaded the latest version of Thunderbird.

I have attached a screenshot showing some of the duplicate folders with no content... Thank you Jeff Koseff

How can I migrate from the 32-bit TBird to a later 64-bit version. I have thousands of emails stored in numerous local folders and I would like to retain these files after any migration to the 64-bit Thunderbird. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Thunderbird 32 bit version 128 running on Windows 10 Pro. 16 GB memory with 512 GB storage

I first like to know if I upgrade to 64 bit version of Thunderbird. Beside doing a backup of the 32 bit version what be the best way to backup. I planning on using onedrive to backup the data. Any suggestions there is there extension anyone can recommend?

Can I upgrade to 64 bit version without having to do anything?

The second thing please reference the image attached to this thread. As you noticed there a lot of folders in INBOX and in Drafts. I tried moving them but seems they are not relocating. I even tried copying to them to another folder.

Should I try upgrading thunderbird to 32 bit first? There so many folders and subfolders that I don't think thunderbird can handle moving that much data.

The person who setup this application does not have any computer background at all.

I appreciate anyone who can assist with this issue.

Ok people who actually write this program. It is possible that you are not guilty of this, but I am seriously suspicious. Your recent auto update automatically either ERASED my email messages and/or automatically changed the storage folder, or just changed the folder.

And :I cannot remember where I was putting them before to try and recover anything. Somewhere on my terabyte D drive because my C drive was full.

Any ideas on how to my messages back?
