Hi,

I am the developer of the Dictionary Anywhere extension which is a Firefox recommended extension. Recently my extension stopped performing up to its expectations due to backend changes in public API that it uses to find meaning of the words.

However, I am unable to modify the code of extension to fix the issue as I am not able to login to my account due to it being behind MFA, and I have lost access to the phone which contains those MFA codes.

Can something be done here, to allow me to update the extension to rectify the issue that 50k users who use this extension regularly are facing? For example, can the extension be transferred to another account through which it can be updated, lots of users are suffering as the extension is not working. I have access to the source code of the extension .

I'm using version 135.0.1 (64-bit) on Win11. The latest version on the site is 136.0, but no notification is given, and Help/About doesn't do it or offer the option. I've browsed the web page that discusses an "Update Firefox" section in Settings/General, but no such section exists. Anyone knows what happened??? Tnx, Nir

I use Thunderbird on MacOS, but my settings were lost and I had to set up my mail again. This has happened many times and I would like to know why this problem occurs.

After opening the add bookmark panel and clicking on the down "arrow" next to location I would like to be able to increase the vertical size of the panel so I can see more folders. Is there a way under the hood to do this?

After updating FF to v. 136.0 in Linux Mint 22.04, I noticed a problem with video playback in Facebook in some posts. A black screen appears with the message "Sorry, there were problems playing this video". The problem also occurs after disabling all plugins and deleting the user.js file from the profile. The problem does not occur after starting firefox in troubleshoot mode, but then hardware acceleration using the GPU does not work (Compositing: WebRender (Software)). My passwords are saved to my android phone, and home PC but I am trying to get them into my work PC and they will not show up. I had a master password turned on briefly but it was not functioning how I wanted it (enter the master password before it would put any of the other passwords in instead of once on start up). Now I turned the master password off, sync is turned on for both the android browser and the work pc, the phone has the passwords but the pc does not.

I'm not an IT expert so any responses, although appreciated, should be in simple English please. Is it possible to set a time on my PC, for updates to the Firefox browser to be installed? If my PC is left on, after every update (which are regular), it takes ages to boot up my PC and get many windows reopened and working. It really is a massive inconvenience and getting annoying. Whereas when Windows wants to update, I can ask it to do it at a convenient time for myself, when my PC is shut down or I'm not using it or got numerous windows open, with unfinished work. Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

'When I set up an account with Mozilla, it was working fine, then changed to 2 factor log in. I don't know how to change it back. I would use my own email account (kemartin124@yahoo.com) but EA sets up an entire new account & Iose everything & can't get it back. I've tried to contact EA customer support but can't get a response. It's almost impossible, is there a workaround that could be done to correct it. Hi, browser movie streaming on Amazon.com Prime posts an error over every movie as of last night that states it can't play HD content due to wrong OS or Browser not being up to date. Then it defaults to SD bit rates.

I'm not the only one with the error on Amazon's forum.

The "error" which is more like a warning, appears as a bubble in the lower right corner of the streaming content (movies specifically).

Checking my router logs shows that all is well in the badlands, no warnings, no dropped packets. And as I said, streaming movies in HD was just working last week and no other website I visit is affected.

I use DRM content on this PC everyday. I don't have issues with any other streaming platform or websites. I have cleared cookies and stored data I have rebooted my system a ridiculous amount of times. I have not reset Firefox but I have uninstalled and reinstalled it, and imported all of my synced info.

HARDWARE SPECS: Windows 11 pro PC AMD Thread ripper 2920. Gigabyte Designare X399 board. 64 GB of I think patriot ram. A single m.2 Pcie as my C drive. AMD 6900XT graphics card with latest drivers. 1000 watt corsair rm 1000i - stable power. All windows drivers are latest and stable. I don't have any warnings in my system devices. I have the security feature for TPS 2.0 enabled in bios or I wouldn't be able to boot Windows 11 pro. My system is not overclocked. I can ping everyone and everything I choose to. I use Quad 9 as my https DNS. I DON"T dual boot my hardware. I don't use a virtual machine to run windoze.

I ask you, dear reader and developer extraordinaire, What have you all done to my precious internet and web? What magical and simple switch can I toggle to get Amazon prime HD streaming back?

Obviously it is Amazon services refusing to stream in HD over a browser interface. But why suddenly? This sure appears to be some kind of dark social engineering scheme to see how many are affected and how much they can get away with. But I have to check with you as I am not a programmer nor a designer.

Under no circumstances is thunderbird loading a profile (existing or newly built).No crash report. Completely empty. New installed program and/or new installed post boxes + copied Mail-folders from existing profiles into a new profile will work once or twice or a few more times. At least next day TB starts only complete empty. I tried to fix it many times - using corresponding different forums.

I watch a youtube vid in FF, while say it's halfway through I close FF. The audio of the vid continues, sofar the only eay to stop it is to restart my phone.

This is new, started happening a few days ago. FF 136

Thunderbird inbox shows wrong sender name for message, overriding what the person actually sent with something from its data base. Attached screen shots illustrate:

-- Message is sent from danmargsullivan@earthlink.net. This was a joint account for a married couple. When they sent messages, each would have their Email client show the name of the sender. The husband died several years ago, and now the wife is the only one using the account.

-- Screen Shot #1: When I access the message via Thunderbird, for some reason it overrides the name provided by the sender with something from its data base (in this case, the name of the dead husband).

-- Screen Shot #2: When I access the message directly from Gmail, it shows the correct sender name.

This seems to me to be a bug. But if it's not, is there some parameter I can set so that Thunderbird doesn't "help" me with overrides like this?

Being fairly new to Thunderbird I'm still exploring the possibilities. I know I can display only unread messages in a particular folder by using the Quick Filter / Show only... option, but is it possible to set up a more direct method which requires only one click and is permanently displayed as an option?

Started using Netscape and been with Firefox ever since it started. For the last few months, I find that my Draytek 2866Lac router randomly crashes and resets itself when I am using Firefox. I cannot pin it down to opening any particular website but it seems to be related to opening a new tab / link. I have FF set to open new tab automatically and no extensions (other than British English) are in use. Using FF, I can seldom go more than 5 -6 hours between resets. Not using FF, I have now managed 2 days constant uptime on the router - which is a fantastic change! Is there something peculiar with my system and any ideas how I can get stability again please?

Since the new "feature" profiles came out, I now always have this "originalprofile" in the browser (in the title bar) and in the Windows taskbar... It's really annoying.... Now my question is, how do I get rid of it again... on 3 more pictures, Firefox language is German...
