Since the new "feature" profiles came out, I now always have this "originalprofile" in the browser (in the title bar) and in the Windows taskbar... It's really annoying.... Now my question is, how do I get rid of it again... on 3 more pictures, Firefox language is German...

Enter about:config in the address bar and switch browser.profiles.enabled to false.

For the record, The new profile management system is a work in progress that is enabled for some users as part of an experiment that is being rolled out gradually as mentioned in the Manage Firefox profiles article. You can check about:studies to see if the new profile manager is listed. It may not be but if it is you can remove it (see the About Studies article for details).

This new system is only enabled in Firefox Nightly by default; this is from the Firefox 136 Nightly release notes: (quote) Starting with Firefox 136, profile management is now available in Nightly builds. Users can now more easily create and switch between different profiles. Bug 1931006

I did some testing in Firefox Nightly. Setting browser.profiles.enabled to false in about:config doesn't completely disable the new profile system. Some parts of the new system still work and others don't.

Setting browser.profiles.enabled to false won't remove "Original profile" in the Title bar or Windows taskbar, even after a restart. However, parts of the new system are disabled, although the settings still appear in the UI.
