Why is Firefox so sloooooow for me?

I'm reading lots of reviews on the Play Store for Firefox for Android saying that it's really fast and I'm just not experiencing that. I'd say it loads pages 5x slower than the stock browser. I love the features of Firefox but the speed is just killing me. I'm using a Galaxy S3 with stock firmware and the Asus Transformer Infinity on a custom ROM. Both have roughly the same performance.

Is there anything I can do (other than what's in the FAQs) to speed this up? I don't get how other people say it's so fast and I have the exactly opposite experience.

I might have had under estimated how slow it is. At least 10x slower compared to the stock browser. How can this be normal?

And why does it have to reload the page when you navigate to another app and go back? Waiting another 15-20 seconds to get back where you were is incredibly frustrating.

What mods have you made since installing it?

Disabled Twitter, Amazon & Wiki search. Installed Ad-block Plus and Autopager add-ons.

I think that's it.

Nevermind, I found Boat Browser. Best brower on Android for sure. I'll check with Firefox in 6 months or so, hopefully they get their sh*t together.
