Software update, download will not continue

My Firefox is stuck at version 3.6.3. Apparently (from the update history log), the connection timed out of the download of 3.6.4. Now when I go to try to manually continue the download (Resume downloading Firefox 3.6.4), I see "Paused download of 3.6.4" and "connecting to the update server". But no matter how long I wait, it never connects and never continues the download.

Is there a way to clear this error condition and retry the download? Is the a way to download the update file and install it manually?
