You can reset the warn prefs on the about:config page via the right-click context menu.
browser.tabs.warnOnClose , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/About%3Aconfig_entries browser.warnOnQuit , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnQuit browser.warnOnRestart , see http://kb.mozillazine.org/browser.warnOnRestart
New fire fox sucks. thanks
I use to be able to save and quit but the new one is not letting me. When I right click and say open in new tab it gives me a new window. When I was creating this account it sent me the email and it was like sorry it doesn't work. So I made a new email account and then it didn't send to me and then another new account and then it finally worked.
Hi, I just have the same problem and I found a solution in the forums but never the whole thing in one post, so I'll post it: First as ToneE says "
- Type about:config into the location bar and press enter
- Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
- Locate the preference browser.tabs.warnOnClose, if its value is set to false, double-click on it to change its value to true
- Repeat this for these 3 preferences browser.warnOnQuit, browser.warnOnRestart and browser.showQuitWarning"
and second. You need to set: Firefox/Tools > Options > General > Startup: "When Firefox Starts": "Show my home page". and your favourite firefox pop up "Save and Quit" question will appear again. If the last option is set on "Show my windows and tabs from last time" the browser want ask ou anything when you're closing it. ENJOY :)

can any one help me in setting up the "save and quit" in the newest mozilla firefox browser. I've tried the above suggestions but they did not work for me..... some one plz suggest boss....
Some add-ons force firefox to ignore the prefs related with "Save and Quit".
If setting the prefs "browser.warnOnQuit", "browser.warnOnRestart" and "browser.showQuitWarning" using about:config does not take effect, you probably have one add-on that blocks these options.
If you have the add-on "Session Manager", go to the options of the add-on, and change "General / Startup & Shutdown / At Shutdown" to "ask whether to backup the current session".
