Opening links from Android apps to Firefox tabs while Firefox stay in the background

Hello everyone,

Current version of Firefox is 115.2.0 on Android 8.

Previously, it was possible to configure Firefox to stay in the background while opening tabs from links activated in other apps. Thus, said apps would stay in the foreground until Firefox is called to the front.

If such a configuration is yet possible, how is it achieved?
