Overview
Windows 10 may interrupt your Firefox install with a warning about "Microsoft-verified apps". Firefox is safe to install and use, so choose "Install anyway" or change system settings to allow Firefox installation.
Details
In certain versions of Windows 10, you may receive a notification when you run the Firefox installer. This notification interrupts the installation of Firefox and suggests that you should get a Microsoft-verified app. This message is displayed because Firefox is not in the Microsoft store.
Depending on your settings, you may see an option to “install anyway”. Any copy of Firefox downloaded from www.mozilla.org is safe to install, and you can confidently proceed with the installation.
If you do not see an option to “install anyway” or if you wish to permanently disable this dialog from appearing in the future, you can follow the steps provided below to change your system settings.
Change System Settings
Step 1: Open the Windows 10 start menu and select "settings" on the left-hand side
Step 2: Click on “Apps” in the settings menu
Step 3: Under the “Choose where to get apps” section, click on the dropdown menu and select one of the options that allows you to install from anywhere
The above steps will allow you to install software from anywhere without interruption.
