This article provides documentation of new features avaialbe in the v1.1 builds of Firefox OS.

Note: Your handset manufacturer is responsible to provide this software update to your phone in conjunction with your service provider.

The big new features we want to document in this article are the following:

  • MMS, so users can send pictures, audio and video using the Messaging app. They can also send to more than one contact now also, woo! There are other improvements to highlight that we can post back to the forum threads like being able to click a link in a message and open the browser, for example.
  • Downloading files from the browser, so users can get content onto their phone Gallery and Music app.
  • Contact imprort from google and hotmail. Double woo!
