Use tabs to open, view and manage multiple web pages in Firefox for iOS.

Open a new tab
To open a new tab:
- Tap the
Tab icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the
Add icon at the bottom of the screen
Close a tab
To close an individual tab:
- Tap the
Tab icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the
Close icon on the tab you want to close.
Tip: You can also swipe left on a tab to close it.
View open tabs
To view all tabs:
- Tap the
Tab icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Your open tabs will display on the screen.
You may see Inactive Tabs, tab groups in ascending order from oldest to newest and an Others tab group.
View private tabs
To view your private tabs:
- Tap the
Tab icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap the
Private Browsing icon at the top of the screen.
Close all open tabs
This feature lets you close all your open tabs simultaneously.
To close all tabs:
- Tap the trash icon
at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap .
Close all inactive tabs
Note: This feature is currently only available to select users as an experiment.
The Inactive Tabs group shows tabs you haven't viewed for 14 days. Tabs will stay in Inactive indefinitely and won't auto-close. The Inactive Tabs group will be collapsed anytime you open a tab tray. You can tap the group to expand it.
To close all inactive tabs:
- Tap the
Tab icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap .
- Tap .
