What is Airplane Mode

Airplane Mode is a function of Firefox OS that allows you to temporarily disable all wireless connections on your device. This is communly used on airplanes, which often require all cellular connections turned off during flight. It can also be used to save battery on your device, or if you simply want to disable wireless connections with the push of a button.

What can I do while in Airplane Mode?

You may continue to use Firefox OS while in Airplane Mode. You can also turn on WIFI and Bluetooth while in Airplane Mode as well. If you don't connect to a WIFI network however, any attepmts to connect to the internet (browse to a website, download updates, etc.) will fail until you turn Airplane Mode back off.

How do I enable Airplane Mode?

Airplane Mode is simple to use. Tap the settings icon, then tap Airplane Mode. All wireless connections will be disabled. You should see Firefox OS Airplane Mode in the upper right hand corner of Firefox OS.

When you are ready to disable Airplane Mode, tap settings icon again, then tap Airplane Mode. Your device will begin to reconnect to wireless networks and should be ready to use in a few moments.
