1. Restart the device

Reboot or restart your Firefox OS device by pressing and holding the power button located at the top of the device and select Restart Phone from the menu. Most issues can be resolved by restarting the device after prolonged use.

If the device is not responding, you can also perform a hard reset.

  1. Open the device's battery cover.
  2. Remove the battery.
  3. Place the battery back into the device and close the battery cover.
  4. Hold the power button to turn the device on.

2. Close An Application That Is Not Responding

Close the application using the application switcher.

  1. To close an app, press and hold the home button at the bottom of the device.
  2. The app switcher will appear with a thumbnail of the opened application and the name of the application.
  3. Swipe left to find the thumbnail image for the app you want to close (if you have more than one application open).
  4. Swipe up to close the app or press the X at the top left corner of the thumbnail.
  5. The thumbnail will dissapear signifying the closure of the application.
Note: To leave the application switcher, tap the home button.

3. Enable Data Connection

Some sites may not load when data connection is not present and you are not connected to wifi.

  1. Swipe down the notification bar to open the utility tray.
  2. Tap the Data icon which is the second icon so that it turns blue.

4. Enable Wi-Fi

Applications may present a connectivity error/ issue. A quick fix is to enable wifi and connect to your desired network.

  1. Swipe down the notificatio bar.
  2. Tap the wifi icon to toggle it on/off.
If a remembered network is present it should auto connect, if not please go into the settings and connect to the desired network.

5. Update Your Device

  1. Open the Settings application by tapping the Settings App (small) icon.
  2. Tap the Device Information button.
  3. Tap the Check now button.
  4. A notification will appear if an update is available.
Updates will only download over Wifi to prevent data usage charges

6. Reset Your Device

CAUTION: Resetting your phone will delete all data stored on the device. Free and purchased installed applications will also be deleted. It will also unconfigure all default applications. All email accounts and emails will be deleted. Calendar data will also be deleted. Remembered wifi networks and any other settings or customizations you had previously configured will also be deleted!
  1. Open the Settings application.
  2. Tap the Device Information button,
  3. Tap the More Information button,
  4. Tap the Reset phone button
  5. Tap OK to continue or Cancel to cancel.
