Tracking protection blocks trackers that follow you across multiple websites. Tracking protection is on by default in both normal and private mode. The shield FirefoxShieldIcon appears in your address bar when tracking protection is active.

If tracking protection is breaking site content or functionality, you can turn it off:

  1. Tap the tracking protection icon FirefoxShieldIcon in your address bar.
  2. In the panel that appears, turn the tracking protection switch off.
