The New Firefox is here, and switching from Google Chrome is easy and risk-free! Firefox can automatically move bookmarks, passwords, history and other preferences from Chrome without deleting it or interfering with any of its settings. Give it a try.

  1. Don't delete Chrome [yet]... We'll need it to import your Bookmarks, Passwords and History soon.
  2. Download and install the new Firefox from https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/.
  3. Quit Chrome if you have it running.
    quit chrome macquit chrome win
  4. Open your newly-installed Firefox. The import tool will pop up. If not, go to Library 57 library icon, followed by Bookmarks, then Show All Bookmarks, then Import import button, and lastly Import Data from another Browser.
  5. The import tool looks like this:

  6. Choose Chrome in the Import Settings and Data window. In the next screen, choose the things you want to import. Follow the prompts and Firefox will take care of the rest.
