SwiftKey is a popular software keyboard for Android devices. There is a known problem that causes it to crash when used with Firefox. We are working to get this fixed, but until then the solution is to temporarily disable SwiftKey.
How do I disable SwiftKey?
- Open the Android Settings app.
- Select Language & keyboard.
- Select Input method.
- From the Input method dialog, tap Multi-touch keyboard to switch back to the built-in Android keyboard.
In Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) the steps are a little different:
- Open the Android Settings app.
- Select Language & keyboard.
- Tap to uncheck the box to the right of SwiftKey and disable it.
