This article describes a new feature available in Firefox version 66.

Firefox lets you find a specific tab when you have a lot of tabs open:

  1. Click the List all tabs button in the tab bar.
    list all tabs 66
  2. Click Search Tabs in the menu that opens.
    search tabs 66

Note that this button only appears when all tabs in the current window don't fit in the taskbar. If you want to have this button all the time, here is how to change it (thanks to user jscher2000 )

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste tabman and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled preference to switch the value from false to true

That will take effect the next time you exit Firefox and start it up again.
