Remove a synced device from your Mozilla account

Sync allows you to sync your bookmarks, logins and browsing information across different devices. When you're no longer using a device, you can remove it from your Firefox account and delete its associated browsing information, if you choose.

Note: If you just want to disable Sync for a device without signing out of your Firefox account, see Disable Firefox Sync.
  1. Open Firefox on the computer you want to disconnect.
  2. Click the menu button The image "fx57Menu" does not exist. on the toolbar.
  3. Click your Mozilla account email or display name (you might need to sign in first).

  4. Click Sync Settings.
    • The Sync panel of your Firefox Settings page displays.
  5. Click Sign out….
    • A prompt will ask you to confirm that you want to disconnect.

  6. Click the Disconnect button.

Firefox will disconnect from your account but won't delete any browsing information.

  1. Open Firefox on the computer you want to disconnect.

  3. Click your Mozilla account email or display name (you might need to sign in first).

  4. Click Sync Settings.
    • The Sync panel of your Firefox Settings page displays.
  5. Click the Disconnect button. A prompt will ask you if you want to clear your sync'ed data from that device.
  6. Put a checkmark next to the information you want to remove, if any.

  7. Click the Just Disconnect button, or Disconnect & Delete if you will remove any data.
