How to remove the Babylon toolbar, home page and search engine

Intro

Note: This article only applies to Windows and Mac OS X. To see instructions, choose a Windows or Mac OS X from the dropdown menu above.

Option 1: Reset Firefox to remove the Babylon toolbar and restore the default home page and search engine

  1. At the top of the Firefox window, click the Firefox button, go over to the Help sub-menu
    (on Windows XP, click the Help menu at the top of the Firefox window) and select Troubleshooting Information.

  2. Click the Reset Firefox button in the upper-right corner of the Troubleshooting Information page.

  3. To continue, click Reset Firefox in the confirmation window that opens.
  4. Firefox will close and be reset. When it's done, a window will list the information that was imported. Click Finish and Firefox will open. That's it – you're done!

Option 2: Completely remove the Babylon software from your computer

Uninstall the Babylon translation software

Start>Control Panel>Uninstall a Program Open Applications folder> move Babylon to the Trash> empty Trash.

Remove Babylon Add-ons from Firefox

Reset preferences

  1. Search reset
  2. Remove user.js

Remove add-ons from other browsers on your computer

Option 2: Completely remove the Babylon software from your computer
