Introduced in Firefox 120, to help you to get straight into browsing the web you can set Firefox to open automatically when you turn on or restart your computer.

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Settings (select Preferences on older macOS versions).Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. In the General panel, click the Open Firefox automatically when your computer starts up option.
  3. Close the Settings page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
  1. Choose the Apple menu in the top right corner of the screen.
  2. Under System Settings, select General in the sidebar then click Login Items on the right.
  3. To add Firefox, select the Add button (+) below the list of items and then select Firefox to add it to the list.

This will be various ways that this can be done for different distributions of Linux. We recommend that you consult support documentation and guides relevant to your distribution.
