Before upgrading the previous version, we asked master password users to disable their master password (or primary password) in order to have their logins migrated, however, our message didn't reach everyone. So we built a new tool in Firefox for Android version 81+ to resolve this issue and allow users to bring over their logins from the previous version.
Migrate saved logins
- After upgrading to the latest version of Firefox for Android you will see a prompt to transfer your login data:
- Tap the button.
- Enter your master password.
- You will see a confirmation, tap to bring over your logins to the new Firefox.
Primary Password is replacing Master Password. Firefox is removing terminology from the browser that has been identified as derogatory or exclusionary. Learn more about why we’re making this change.
