Set a default search engine

  1. Tap the Menu button (either at the bottom right on some devices or in the upper right of the browser) .
  2. Tap Settings (you may need to tap More first) .
  3. Tap Customize, then Search.
  4. Tap the search engine that you would like to set as default and choose Set as default.

Add search engines

As you type in a search, Firefox for Android will suggest multiple search engines for you to use. If you don't see your favorite search engine on the list, follow these steps to add it:

  1. Go to the site of the search engine you want to use. For example, youtube.com.
  2. Tap and hold inside the search box and tap on the magnifying glass icon addsearch android.

Remove search engines

  1. Tap the Menu button (either at the bottom right on some devices or in the upper right of the browser) .
  2. Tap Settings (you may need to tap More first) .
  3. Tap Customize, then Search.
  4. Tap the search engine that you would like to delete and choose Remove.


Turn on search suggestions

The search suggestions feature shows you top results from each provider before you finish typing.

  • Tap the Menu button (either at the bottom right on some devices or in the upper right of the browser) , then Settings (you may need to tap More first) and check the Show search suggestions option.
