How to turn on the Firefox Private Network VPN on Windows 10

Turn Firefox Private Network full-device protection (VPN) on when you connect to the Internet to protect your browsing activity and your device’s network connection.

  1. Open the Private Network VPN (you can open it from the Windows 10 app tray too).
  2. Sign in with your Firefox Account (only required the first time).
  3. Click the switch to turn it on/off (blue means on)

  4. Optionally, choose a server location from the Connection dropdown.

On first connection, the VPN will ask for admin permissions to make changes to your computer’s network settings. Browse the Internet with any browser or use any application and the Private Network VPN will protect your entire device.
