Your home page loads when you launch Firefox or click on the home button. This article shows you how to set one or more pages as your home page.

Important: If your home page has been hijacked, see the article Remove a toolbar that has taken over your Firefox search or home page.

Set or change your home page

  1. Open the website you want to set as your home page. If you want a blank home page, open a new tab.
  2. Click the icon to the left of the web address, drag it to the Home button, and release.
Home page Win1 Home page Mac1
  3. Click Yes to set this as your home page.
Tips: You can also set Firefox to load multiple pages. Open each page on a separate tab, and click Use Current Pages in the General panel. Your pages will load when you click on the Home button or launch Firefox.

To load pages from your last visit every time you launch Firefox, select "Show my windows and tabs from last time" in the General panel.

Restore the default home page

If you want to delete your home page customizations, this is the way to do it.

  1. Click the menu button New Fx Menu Fx57Menu and choose Options.Preferences.
  2. Select the General panel.
  3. In the Startup box, click Restore to Default.

  4. Close the about:preferences page. Any changes you've made will automatically be saved.
