Pocket for Firefox lets you easily save a variety of Web content, such as blogs, news sources, webpages and videos, with the click of a button. When you open a new tab in Firefox, Pocket will display recommended stories that feature the best content collected by other Pocket users. If you don't want to see these Pocket stories, you can easily hide this content in your Firefox browser on any device.

Hide recommended stories on your computer

To remove Recommended by Pocket stories from your Firefox New Tab page:

  1. In the Menu bar at the top of the screen, click Firefox and select Settings (select Preferences on older macOS versions).Click the menu button Fx89menuButton and select Settings.
  2. Select the Home panel.
  3. Deselect the Recommended by Pocket checkbox in the Firefox Home Content section.

Tip: Another way you can hide this content is to click the cogwheel Fx89Personalize-GearIcon icon in the upper right of the New Tab page and click the Recommended by Pocket toggle Fx89Personalize-ToggleOn to switch it off Fx89Personalize-ToggleOff.

Hide recommended stories on your Android device

  1. Open the Firefox for Android app.
  2. Tap the menu button to open the menu panel.

  4. In the General section, tap Homepage.

Hide recommended stories on your iOS device

  1. Open the Firefox for iOS app.
  2. Tap the menu button to open the menu panel.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Home.
  5. Tap the Trending on Pocket toggle to turn it off.
