Pocket for Firefox allows you to easily save a variety of content, such as blogs, news sources, web pages, and videos, with the click of a button.

When opening a new Firefox tab, Pocket will automatically display recommended stories, which feature the best content on the Web that other Pocket users have collected. However, you can easily hide these recommended stories from displaying in your Firefox browser on any device.

Recommended by Pocket is available in U.S., Canada and Germany only. Sponsored Stories is available in U.S. only.

Hiding recommended stories on your computer

  1. Open a new Firefox tab.
  2. Click the menu button Fx57Menu, choose Settings and select the Home panel.
    • (You can also click the cogwheel icon at the top right corner of the New Tab page.)
  3. Deselect the Recommended by Pocket checkbox in the Firefox Home Content section.
  4. Deselect the Sponsored Stories checkbox if you do not want to continue to receive sponsored content.

Hiding recommended stories on your Android device

  1. Open the Firefox for Android app.
  2. Tap the menu button to open the menu panel.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap General.
  5. Tap Home.
  6. Tap Top Sites.
  7. Tap the Recommended by Pocket toggle to turn it off.

Hiding recommended stories on your iOS device

  1. Open the Firefox for iOS app.
  2. Tap the menu button to open the menu panel.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Tap Home.
  5. Tap the Trending on Pocket toggle to turn it off.
